"The Crying Machine" (Full Song) - Steve Vai
Музыка
Steve Vai and the String Theories band perform the song "The Crying Machine" from the new DVD "Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are".
The show was recorded and filmed at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN before a sold-out audience as part of Vais successful Sound Theories world tour.
Vai is widely known for both his unprecedented guitar playing techniques and the unique design of his signature series Ibanez Jem guitar. But his fans have become inextricably drawn to his melodic depth, and dynamic stage performance. The continued evolution of his craft is made apparent in the astonishing musicianship presented in "Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are". The 2 hour and 40 minute set contains several new tracks and re-orchestrated pieces culled from his rich catalog. His guitar-wielding extravaganza in 'The Murder' is an artistic performance piece that must be seen to be believed.
The addition of virtuoso violinists Alex DePue and Ann Marie Calhoun add a dazzling dimension to Vai's compositions and stage show, delivering fans the unexpected edge they always expect. Other world-class musicians chosen for Vai's band are: Bryan Beller (bass), Jeremy Colson (drums), Dave Weiner (guitar and sitar) and Zack Wiesinger (lap steel).
"Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are" is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and audio CD now!

Steve's talked on how Korn blew his mind because they did exactly this. they expanded on his idea. Simple.

It is a pure joy to have this man exist. Thank You, Mr Vai. That someone composes and plays in this way...to hear it is why I'm alive.
One thing that I love in Steve Vai is his feelin' while playing, all those facial expressions.. And not to mention his look to the violinists while they're playing, pure respect, not like many artists nowadays
The trading off and blending in with the violins is just so incredibly beautiful.

Probably my favorite Vai song right now, such a killer live performance!
The harmonies in this live version between Vai and the violinists are so beautiful I almost cry every time I hear it, Superb!!!
This is musical composition, playing and improvisation at its very best. Absolute world-class playing from everyone on that stage.

elements for a steve vai perfectly perfect song: beautiful theme with sense of italian drama, brutal hendrix power riff, technical solo, all supporting by fantastic drum&bass session!
Wow fantastic!!! Guitar violin harmony and drum, bass guitar is so good too
Looooove the tension build up at the start of this piece!
Laying straight on bed, listening to this . . . Goosebumps & tears arent stopping
Every time I watch this I get this feeling like there is still good in the world. There are still people who love the good things in life. Steve, your talent is incredible. In this world of entitlements, you show us that it's hard work, thousands and thousands of hours of practice, over decades of dedication that bring you to such a high level of extraordinary mastery over your craft. It's not just the music, it's not just the beautiful show you put on, but all of this together with the intense feelings you dig out of us from deep within as you put your soul into six strings and a pic for all of us to see. It's something I will never get tired of. The first time I ever heard For The Love Of God I sobbed. Your genius in those chords and riffs will never get outdated. They will forever stand the test of time until time is no more. Thank you sir for your mark on this generation!

You can tell all three enjoy this so much. The music speaks for all of em. I love it
Steve Vai, the best of the best. Amazing!
When you wanna say Steve Vai sucks in his performance, think again. He did not only write the guitar parts for his songs. He writes the bass, drums, violins, external instruments etc. A man who can write for a whole symphony orchestra. He is one musician I place my respect to even though i have my own favourites.

Pauzidi Ipuing dude honnestly that kind of counts for nearly annything. In this youtube age people tend to putt things on a pedestool what they dont understand but try seeing things for what they are and what mechanics are needed for m and what you need the human body or mind accomplisch that .i mean look with a clear sence. Also al the fierce comments of people deffending oppinions people forget what is really important ; happines in anny form and yes if art makes you happy its a good thing to have in your life but dont blind stare on importance or oppinions. Lots of things have been done for manny years just that lots of people (in this short attentionspan society) dont understand sommething rigjt away doesnt make it super human
