My grandma passed away today, and at the nursing home I was wearing my Elton John x Teddy Fresh hoodie, and one of the older nurses surprisingly stopped me and said “Hey! Teddy Fresh! Ok so I didn’t start watching h3pod until 2020. The only way to know what’s going on is to just continue watching and you pick up on the jokes and lore because they explain certain topics enough when introducing or transitioning into a topic of discussion. Basically JUST START WATCHING

I started as a Frenemies fan, and slowly started the Friday episodes as they were easier to grasp and not as much lore. I then got to understand who everyone was, and on fridays hila is there and she also does not understand all the lore so sometimes you guys even explain it to her and it helped me learn a lot. I then started frequenting the other days as i became a bigger fan.

For new fans and listeners, you just gotta start and then continue watching. Most of the jokes people don’t get are jokes from the a week or two ago. If you keep up with the show you get majority of the jokes. There’s some deeper stuff that pops up sometimes but it’s usually explained again or you can do a little digging to find out what it is, or ask the subreddit.

I got into this show last year. I was a huge H3 fan but never jumped on the podcast. And it did take a while for me to get everything, but slowly over time I just grinded through and went back and saw previous episodes so I could eventually piece together the lore of the show. I feel like explaining things to new people is great but it comes with the territory of watching something that’s years deep. Every single podcast I listen to has inside jokes and references to old episodes, it comes with having something for so long. Not blaming the viewers who are confused I just think it’s to be expected when jumping into something new.

Wait, so did Cam manage to put together two matching outfits in different sizes from Goodwill or did he somehow find pieces at Goodwill to match an outfit he already owned? 🤔 im not sure which is more impressive 😂

I’ve been watching since 2019 and the podcast/crew have gotten me through everything, from traumatic events to bad days at work. They truly are angels. Their ability to create a bubble of pure silliness for 3 hours straight is life saving. Nothing outside the pod matters when I’m sucked into an episode. Peace and love to you and The Family ❤

regarding the new viewer lore stuff, I think it's impossible - I've been watching for years and try to never miss an episode, I missed a couple of segments in the past few weeks and literally have no idea who Eddie is/how he became involved and suddenly he's hosting the show and going to be a co-host. You just have to roll with it and pretend everything makes sense until it does.

Dan voicing Ian is one of the funniest things I have seen of the show

Sam’s looking at Ian at 2:42:59 is sooooo cute! Both are comedic geniuses but oh did she enjoy beating Ian. Congrats WAM! 😂

Thanks for the timestamp - I must have been looking away while multitasking, and had missed that. Ian has a tendency to cut to her when she's looking dour / stern / scary (e.g. when a sensitive women's issue isn't being taken seriously), so it's nice to see her in such a silly moment.

@@dm_1236 or when aspects of my identity are mocked I don’t take it personally because I understand that it’s all in good fun. If their actions are that upsetting to you I recommend not watching the show. I’m sure you have good intentions, but there are better battles to be fought.

@@dm_1236 I’m a queer white man, but good guess. They make distasteful jokes about homosexuality pretty often. In this episode they were talking about how the guy dancing in the club in the Fresh&Fit video was “definitely gay” and “living his best gay life” just based on how he was dancing. Didn’t love that, but if I let casual homophobia get to me I’d probably be miserable all the time. I live in a conservative area, growing up I was harassed in public multiple times. I still have PTSD from those experiences. People making jokes on a podcast is not the end of the world and not something I’m interested in taking on. Also I never told you what to do, simply made a recommendation. If you find value in hate-watching and spending time in the comments of a youtube show then more power to you.

My theory is that mark Elliot had a stutter as a kid or other speech impediment and inflated it to Tourette’s to be liked. That could also line up with his apparent obsession with speaking very clearly and sounding important. I couldn’t imagine it would be easy to completly fake ticks if he at one point had none, but an existing speech impediment could’ve been the perfect spring board. Sadly, he probably just wanted to be accepted or bullied less, or was just very self conscious.

the Hila fake Zach moment really took me back to the old video commentary days, very nostalgic.

I watched H3H3 Productions before H3 Podcast was ever created. When H3 Podcast started, I watched every now and then (Post Malone and Joji and others as guests) and then I couldn't keep up or wasn't interested. I know most of lore at this point ever since I saw the first episode of Frenemies. I knew Ethan and T had beef waaay before Frenemies (prepping for bachelorette, Moses, etc.) that the idea of creating a podcast with her really captivated me. I also found out more about her from Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star (before SD and JS were cancelled of course). That first episode of Frenemies really opened up all of the possibilities H3 were able to create in terms of content. It was iconic.

I started watching this video on my lunch break and have now spent the entire day singing "Angela Bassett did the thing"

I really liked this one, I feel like this was a lot more fun and wholesome
