OMG, this was almost a year ago. Somehow I missed it. I love it.
He's singing a Norwegian translation of a French song while playing an Irish bouzouki. 🇳🇴🇨🇵🇮🇪
This lad is definitely form Galway.
You are just ridiculously funny. Every time I watch your videos, I hear good music, and I laugh my ass off.
Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Now I want to hear you sing Herr Mannelig
Love your version!
From what I can tell, the Song of Roland is a poem (& a long one at that). You can find it told on KZread as an audiobook, but if you want a tune for it, I found an English rock version done of it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pp6I0Lltc7PaeMo.html
Iäm obsessed with your version! Please make an album
MIDDLE FRIDAY, AUGUST 3RD ... eymninderdrdledr o'clock? SEE YOU THERE Creepy Bard! Love ya'!
Very nicely done. I didn't understand it, but the instrumentation was very good. I'm still going for Czech though.
Not sure if you''ve done this before, but Pictish!

Damien C. I’d be happy to help with that, I’m reconstructing the language, and I have a song “Garnaith map Garnaith” I’m technically the only living Pictish speaker XD
Hey, nice one as usual, did I request for you to do a Norwegian song?, because I can't remember and also can you please do a shetland Gaelic song?, at some point, cheers
Did I request Norwegian? I'm pretty sure I requested Finnish. ;-) Not that I'm really complaining. This was a kick-arse version of the song anyway. Love it!
😎👏👏

Now here's an interesting idea...try a song in a Native American language, like Navaho or Inuktatuk.

Floyd Hoelzl I got mine at my local music store, but if yours does not carry one you should be able to find one online.
Isn't the Song of Roland more of an epic poem?
You should play this again in English.
Harald Foss sings a version pretty similar to yours, albeit I think there's a pretty low chance for a worldly song of that time and place to have its melody recorded, as musical literacy was extraordinarily rare. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fKWr0M2ah7zZgNI.html

As much as I'd LOVE to see Creepy Bard do a song in my (our?) native tongue... I wonder if the language is old enough. It's weird to think that there are songs surviving to this day that are older than entire languages....

Maybe he could do one of those South African languages that have the tongue clicks.

That would be Xhosa. :-) The others also use clicks, but Xhosa has the widest variety of them, and is a notoriously difficult language to learn as a result.

Xhosa it is, then!
Your pronounciation is impressive. I can hardly hear your accent.
He's pretty hot wow
