I personally love love love it when you go over the ingredients...I feel better prepared for a great meal! Thank you and I've made many of your recipes and no complaints yet! In fact they've got all 10's (no offense to your taste tester).

Cannot be over-emphasised how much time and trouble is saved by having all your ingredients laid out before you start. Mis en place. No last minute panic, no over or under cooking elements in the dish. Literally no skill required - just process. That said, I am more impressed by your son being so into mushrooms. Admittedly, mine are a little bit younger but it’s more like garlic to a vampire. Constant lies as to what the small bits are will prevail.

@@gregstevenson7401 Mis en place … I absolutely agree!!
Hands down the best male cooking chan. Haven't heard cussing. Politics. Or use of expensive foods and cookware. Keep it up your family makes it gold.
PARCHMENT then foil!! OMG that's GENIUS!
I agree with you 100% Nutmeg with any cheese sauce, or anything with spinach, is so great❤ This is perfect for meatless Monday!
Gosh, I hope this doesn’t sound weird but sometimes when I’m doing chores or running errands, I’ll play your comforting pasta recipe playlist and dream about the food I’m gonna (re)make later 😭 but honestly, you’re the real comfort! Love everything you do Jim! 💛

I'm the same. I also notice when he rewears certain flannel shirts! This family is like my KZread hygge channel.
I love the idea of parchment paper between the pan and the foil! Too many times I’ve had the cheese and pasta stick to the foil. 😋
Looks delicious. Combination of pasta, muschrooms, spinach and various types of cheeses must be awesome.
I absolutely love that you go over the ingredients at the start. That lets me know what's in the dish (and hits at how complex it is).

I like knowing that having all the ingredients is the hardest thing about these recipes. All I need is to go to the store if I'm missing anything and I'm good to go!

It’s good he shows them first because if you make the dish a few times you just need to see the ingredients lined up without watching the whole video again.
oh how I can relate to the excitement of sharing a dish you are proud of with your loved ones 🥰 very wholesome
Been on a huge mushroom kick lately, excited to try this, might simplify it a little because I’m lazy 😂

Your whole channel is such a treat to watch. Thank you for sharing your recipes!
Yours became my favourite cooking channel. It's real, the recipes are right up my alley and love seeing the family get involved at the end. Happy new year!
Man, does this recipe perfectly fit what I've been imagining for a baked pasta. Love your videos. Cheers!
I so enjoy seeing you and your family having fun!
I would definitely try this one. I love ALL the ingredients in it. James gave this one a 10. All the MORE reason to make this as soon as possible. Thank you for another great dish!!!
I agree it absolutely helps when you go over the list and I always appreciate it, especially when you point out options, what can be left out, and even which stores have the cheapest ingredients, etc.
Every cook has that person they love, who they make sure gets some of the best bits!
Yes, I do really appreciate it when you show the ingredients. Thank you! this looks so yummy!
Excellent!! The love of family shines through. Thanks guys!!☺
Can’t wait to try this. Looks delicious!
super glad to see you getting the recognition you deserve. thanks to you and your family for all the hard work. love watching your videos.
When your video came up on my feed and I saw mushroom in the title I had to watch. Was not disappointed. I’m planning to make this soon. I’m a new subscriber! 😊
Right James always a good judge 👍 roasting mushrooms in the oven is really a good tip so the weekend meal is sorted 👍😍🤣

This such a wholesome channel! Great video! I’m looking forward to trying this recipe sometime this weekend
Thx for the video & recipe! All the ingredients together sound amazing, & anything mushroom I’m a fan. Can’t wait to make this.
Happy New Year! Hope you and family had a wonderful break!
Open appetite. Clear explanation. No fuss. Looks really delicious. Like always. Thank you. Happy New Year to you and family.
Looking forward to making this. Looks delicious. Thank you.
Hi, I love your channel, and always watch an episode when I get home from work. That's when I need to cook dinner and it inspires me to cook and use some spices I don't usually use with certain dishes. A happy new year to you and your family from South Africa 😁
I am putting this dish in the rotation. thank you for the inspiration.
I made this! The delicious aroma emitting from the oven was incredible! I made the recipe as written which is a lot of for one person. I have two dinners to freeze and two more 'plates' for the next couple of days. Lunch or dinner. This is fantastic! Definitely going into my recipe binder. THANK YOU!
Yes, going over the ingredients at the beginning of the video is quite helpful. Delicious recipe! At this point, I've made six of your recipes, and Italian Wedding Soup and this one are my two favorites so far. Thank you!
Made this last night and it came out great. I really appreciate the layers of flavor in this dish. I almost left out the thyme but I’m glad I ended up putting it in anyway. Roasting the mushrooms in the oven gave it some great depth and the fontina was a nice change from the “usual” cheeses. I did use frozen spinach rather than fresh because I just didn’t have the time and I don’t think it made any appreciable difference. Nice option for a meatless meal! Served it with a side of rapini of course 😁😁😁
I really love your videos! They make cooking pasta dishes that used to seem out of my league actually attainable. And I like that you offer other suggestions like using parchment paper or adding leftover ingredients later on. I love mushrooms, I love spinach, I love parmesan, and I can't wait to try this!!
First off your channel deserves far more views, love your no nonsense recipes. A nice tip I learned from ATK, IIRC, is to halve the amount of ricotta and replace it with cottage cheese, this singular step adds so much creaminess and needed moisture to ricotta based pasta dishes.
Thank you for sharing this recipe!and it looks so delicious 😋!

I made this recipe tonight -- followed everything exactly as you did and I have to say....hands down best pasta recipe ever!!!! The broil at the end is 👌👌🤌🤌
This looks delicious. Everything I love from mushrooms to spinach to garlic to cheese and pasta. Thanks for the video and recipe.
I gotta say, I have learned SO much from watching your videos. The thing I've learned the most is to take out all my ingredients beforehand and set them up like you do! It has created so much simplicity for me now as I'm no longer hunting for the ingredients while I'm trying to cook at the same time. I'm such a scatterbrained and visually impaired so when you lay out everything you're using and go over it, that allows me to do the same thing at the same time LOL I can't wait to try this one!

This is another recipe I will be trying! I never thought of putting parchment, and then tin foil, what a great idea. Your son has really started to refine his palate and correctly guessing nutmeg 👏Thanks Sip and Feast! 🍝
Happy New Year! And thanks for this great recipe. Also, just in case you need to hear it again - you listing and showing the ingredients at the beginning of your vids is a HUGE help🤘
This recipe looks amazing!!! I will definitely make this delicious looking pasta dish! Thank you!
Buddy, you are the best! Making this on Monday! Thanks!!!!
This dish looks delicious!! Easy to make and a great pasta dish to take. Great comfort food!! I use mushrooms in everything!! Thank you for the recipe. I have most ingredients too except for cheese's. I love the smell of thyme. This looks like a keeper!
I made your stuffed mushrooms and baked ziti recipes which were both delicious and now I'm definitely going to try this one...looks yummy!
LOVE your channel dude! Especially because you include your awesome family! Keep it up!!
This looks wonderful, Jim. Anything with mushrooms & I'm in. Thanks. Happy New Year to you & yours.
Ten Jameses! Outstanding! Woo Hoo! Great start to 2023! The only thing I’d suggest is to think about deglazing the mushroom pans with just a couple tablespoons of water, stock or wine?
Brilliant! Chef couldn't wait to dive in and eat. When you love to cook and eat, your food will always be good.
Thank you, I love your channel! I have tried several of your recipes, myself and my family have enjoyed them. You break things down so easily. I look forward to trying this recipe, I think it will be a family hit. Plus love your family's comments and rating system too! - Looking forward to more recipes!

So glad I found your channel, love the dishes you make and how you actually teach how to cook instead of "follow this recipe exactly " you are teaching techniques and flavor building. From knife cuts to heat management all the way to a delicious final product. Also, the way you adore your wife and kids makes this a top notch cooking channel. Kudos my friend and keep up the good work.
happy new year, jim -- here's to another great year on the channel!

Perfect winter recipe💯♥️👍
Ha...I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who pauses and has to move something to a bigger bowl! Sometimes I end up with 2 or 3 bowls I messed and then discarded for bigger bowls. I am going to try a personal "Meatless March" and this would be a perfect dish for that month. All the flavor, no meat.
Looks amazing.
As someone that is lactose intolerant I've decided that I sub out anything related to cream and milk with coconut cream/milk. I can tolerate a bit of the grated cheeses so I can add a bit of it.
Can’t wait to try this
Mr. Sip, this big baked pasta dish is excellent for families. Easy to serve, relatively easy to make with ingredients you can find at a supermarket (of course, the Italian store is better). Mushrooms & spinach, a good earthy combo. Italians often will put nutmeg on dark greens. Your bright son corroborates your good taste and wholesomeness.
You have opened up my cooking world. I thank you AND my husband thanks you. Best to you and your family.
This looks so stinkin good! I am definitely going to make this after my next grocery trip! Thanks for another great video
I'm preparing this Sunday evening for friends who really appreciate good food!!!!!
outstanding. gonna make today.
Yo Sip! Another great yet simple recipe that I can make for 10 -12 people on my Sunday family dinners. Thanks.
