PLONE OR DRANE! This was hilarious, but I think that this aircraft is so awesome because it combines both experiences, flying a drone and a wing whenever you want... It is also very nice to see those "different ones", cheers!

That wasn't the air-speed calibration Ken....that was the Interlock device. LOL

As a novice I think that you guys are having entirely to much fun. Straighten up and tow that barge!!! It does look like a bit of fun though. On the down side, it doesn't appear to be as responsive as a quad drone. But... Having a wing may let it fly further than a quad drone. In any case, it is an interesting concept!

PLONE OR DRANE! Loved watching that transition from drone to plane in mid-air. I had to rewind the transition 3 times, just to make sure I saw it! Amazing!

Ken, call Dave and ask him for one of those TrueRC dual patches for your goggles. You’ll got a lot more range than just those stubbies, that’s how I get the insane depth into places like caraway. Missed you buddy, we gotta fly again soon.

Does the set of patch antennas work with DJI Goggles v2 and the DJI FPV Racer Drone? (Frequency Ranges = 2.4ghz and 5.x or just 5.xghz)? And… do you happen to have a valid link? Thanks!

plone-drane that's what I say. great video. at one point I thought it was going to fly off into no man's land. there must be a way to keep the parameters in memory, maybe..

Probably have to go with Plone. It does look like a lot of fun. And you'd be able to fly a plane without a traditional runway.

Plone! The main flying experience is a fixed wing. Love the videos!

PLONE or DRANE? Love this concept ever since i saw a similar design in quantix recon drone. I think that in airplane mode it should be much more energy efficient than a regular quadcopter. It is a pity that the declared signal transmission range is 3-5 kilometers, and not 10-15. I live in Zaporozhye, Ukraine. The front line is located 30 kilometers from our city. If I somehow miraculously win, I'll give it to the guys from the territorial defense forces to look after the russian enemies.

I would say it’s a Drane, because it takes off in drone mode than becomes a plane. Looks like an interesting piece of draneware. I could see the fun with experimenting with advertising banner’s and sky writing. Lol.

Plone or Drain? Not sure. You should check out the Zmo-120 VTOL FPV plone, you can still see when in drone mode!

Drane - Really just a fancy vertically assisted launch device in "drone" mode vs hand launching. Add some ailerons tied to the second switch with dual rudders, and it'd be the best of both worlds potentially.

I had troubles in the beggining as well. I gave mine to a friend for his farm checking on his cows and stuff. I am getting a OMPHobby ZMO VTOL . I am hyped for it!

PLONE or DRANE? I love VTOLs. They are so revolutionary especially for agriculture and firefighting uses. I am a cadet at my local volunteer fire dept here in Oregon and I convinced my chief to get three drones for wildland firefighting. We love them! We have probably had around 200 hours of training on them.

Passed received my hard copy of pilots license finally and took my Autel Evo lite+ for a night flight of a carnival it came out amazing.

I just saw a news article about some university i think in the US trying to design a vtol fixed wing drone/rc plane combo.. And my only thoughts to them... GOOD LUCK AND PLEAASE SEND ONE TO KEN!

You obviously didn't watch Captin Drones review of it, he explained that it does not save the data you input , he found that a bit if a bummer, the company will probably release a better model in the future. So keep an eye out .
