  • @bryanangelov

    @bryanangelov

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@greateyedeer5418 IMO the MPG will be at their advertised level. On those videos, the journalists are really hitting the gas pedal hard and with any turbo engine that is expected. I have a 2021 Tundra and the sticker shows 14 MPG average. My wife has a heavy foot and every truck/car we owned, the MPG was about 5 MPG lower than the advertised one. But with the current Tundra, our MPG is 13.8, which is the closest we have ever got to the advertised MPG. I believe the real issue here is that they are pricing the new truck so high that someone that is buying them had to be really crazy to overlook the competition. The Bid 3 are very competitive. They offer more choices, and considering the new Tundra comes with a new turbo engine and a new transmission, I do not expect it will be more reliable than any of the big 3 trucks, maybe in couple years, but not now. As I said above, somebody has to be a big Toyota fan to overlook the competition and buy the new Tundra. Do not get me wrong, I am a Toyota fan, but I acknowledge that the 2022 Chevy/GMC is a way better truck than the new Tundra. Absolutely will dominate the Tundra in any aspect. The RAM 1500, while I do not like the exterior, is also overall a better truck than the new Tundra. Even certain trims of the F150 are way better than the new Tundra. I never liked Nissan Titan, but if you score a good deal on that truck, it will be also in my opinion a better choice. I am ashamed to say, but the new Tundra will be my last choice not only because of its hideous look, but because of its high pricing .

    I know this is a year later and this was a brand new truck… the reason for the SEAT BEEPING is because the seat wasn’t calibrated after delivery. You do this by adjusting the seat to its max in ALL directions, forward/backward, up/down, leans, etc. Then the beeping will go away and your memory settings will work. I learned this the hard way.

    yet another lazy person who can't drive, is all I got outa your comment. Let me guess, you prefer automatics over manuals too? You know how many RWD vehicles are on the road in the winter? a lot. If you need 4WD to drive on the road, the conditions should be bad enough that you're driving slower and already preselected 4WD. You don't need a computer to auto select 4WD for you, that's gonna break in a few years and cost 6k to fix.

Nothing is perfect and I’m in the same boat but I think the concern for the unknown is pretty minimal especially considering the industry stays up with it so in another 20 years time any repairs or maintenance should be pretty easy if needed.

    Toyota made the 4wd selector dummy proof so you don't accidentally bump it and drive around in 4hi on asphalt. Same with the seat "hey careful you're adjusting your ass!" And I don't think it the fogs that are incorporated, rather the front end isn't encorprated with the rest of the truck so it just appears the fogs are. Like how a 7 beside a 4 can look like a 9 And lastly, I knew that 'light bar' wouldn't be trail functional and merely an accent light. Which makes sense, light bars aren't road legal in 99% of places, only places i do know of that allow them is in moose heavy areas, and legality is still a grey area.
