You're lying first of all, and secondly, just because you know one person, it doesn't make it average for the world. My grandfather drank and smoke like crazy everyday since he was 19 and lived until he was 87. My dad smoke for 30 years and got terrible breathing and probably a live full of meds just to survive the night. Cuz when you take it you realize that all the stuff that society tells you to live your life for: like money and sex and accomplishing a lot at your job, etc, are not really that important; because, in the end, none of those things can make you feel as good as heroin does.

That's great that he was able to turn things around. But, it's exasperating to see these guys throw away the opportunity for a scholarship and take things like that for granted. But, credit to him that he learned his lesson and is making the most of his opportunities. There's nothing more uplifting than seeing something like that.
