Give me Derek and the Dominoes Live at the Fillmore.....Just One Night with the Albert Lee band.....and these incredible 4 discs.....and I'm all set...don't need anything else.....listen to this.....just listen to it.....the ultimate live Clapton period.....Love E.C.......
Marcy Levy and Yvonne Elimon are his top backup singers ever!
is it me or does this song have a straight up Allman Bros vibe to it? My God EC was tossing licks out more than Baskin Robbins. Holy Shit what a performance. Marcy Levy sang her pretty ass off on this song. Dickie Sims the keyboard player was more than holding his own with EC. Overall the entire band was firing on all eight cylinders.
May be Clapton's greatest ever! I am amazed every time I listen to it.
You can hear the Duane Allman influence in the second guitar solo, it's got that "Blue Sky" vibe to it.
Clapton's guitar work, of course, is brilliant here as always, but man...am I glad he sobered up and let his voice recover. His singing sounded so much better years after this live recording and after the Slowhand album.
Clapton makes the guitar wail... With those bone crushing of riffs.
Thanks for this video. The Core is one of the greatest and most underrated EC songs ever. Rock on Eric!
The "CORE" 🎶🎸..All instruments in Harmony! EC & Marcy..🏆..All ⏱️"CLASSIC" Legendary legends. 🌎-FAMOUS!... Hey Eric-"Wonderful Tonight"🎶...🌄...🎵... Forever Thankful...❣️...

Lovely song😊❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
❤Thanks nice having ypur music back😂❤❤Turned other in did no good until I contacted ya'll.....Lost you
Both solos were great. Did George Terry do the 2nd solo? The 2nd one had shades of Allman Bros in it.
So glad this was recorded for posterity.
But who really was the drummer in this clip from this particular show? There is talk it was not the regular drummer due to sickness but a crew member standing in at the last minute.
Love to know who was second guitarist on this … George Terry, perhaps??
