Great video.... The hot springs are more than just hot water... it's the minerals in the water from deep below the surface. After u get pass the egg smells, it's very healthy for the body to soak in the warm springs. Most, health hotels, keep barrles of snow. They keep the temp just right. There are spas. That one side is for men, other for females.. there are, rows of pools, 2 or 3 feet deep... You start, in the warm one. Sit for 15 mins, then go to the next one. It will be warmer. Sit for 15 mins, and move to a warmer one. You keep move up to warmer, till it to hot for you..but I promise. When, you do the cool down, water dip....your body, will be zero stress, acks are gone. You will be so relaxed. When I lived in Japan.. I went many times. Note spa, unwritten laws.... Don't look down. You have a dozen black belts kick your ass, ..( funny but true.), Japan shares there customs. And they all get mad when outsiders disrespect them. Great video... And your wrong, you can film, in the warm spas, naked... Carole, would look nice in her birthday suit.😂😊😊, but u have to only hold the camera... Like Chevy Chase, in National Lampoon, European Vacation....😂😊😂 Funny stuff... Watch that movie....

I love Kusatsu! I went on Friday night when the the large outdoor hot spring is allowed for both sexes at once! Best night ever. Also for future trips, I think the best way to get there is to take the express train from Ueno (Tokyo) to Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station. From there the bus ride is only 25 mins and more frequent (they match up with all of the trains)

Originally, tattoos in Japan were done by yakuza. Intimidate people by showing them their tattoos. In Japan before the establishment of the new Meiji government, tattoos were also used as markings for serious criminals. Today's young people in Japan do not know about that history, so they are lightly influenced by Westerners.
