I lived in Mozambique during the war years from 1985-1987. As Deputy Director of Operations for CARE Mocambique I worked with my government counterparts and traveled to all ten provinces of the country delivering aid to displaced persons under extremely challenging conditions. I am grateful to Chris and Carol and their You Tube colleagues for sharing glimpses of what became of that wonderful country when peace replaced the long years of destruction and suffering.

I hope you guys had good time ,welcome to morocco . But , This naked person you talked about is an animal. If I had been there personally, I would have had another conversation with him before I called security, because what he did violated Moroccan law.

For a Chinese born overseas - in Brazil - it was a bit dismay to find out that Macau native people don't speak Portuguese, unless the own Portuguese who live over there 😞

Shame about the visa situation. But as far as the taxis go, you really can't complain about being a little overcharged when visiting a very poor country. It's on you to do your homework if you are very concerned with not overpaying a bit. By the way, the worst taxi scam I ever had was in NYC...

Chinese people are not short of money, they wouldn't do false advertising for such a small amount. They have much more things to do in their own life.

i understand your love for japan, but do not share japanese good points for around the world. because it is possible that poor intelligence foreigners will come to japan. if so, japanese people will bother and annoy them. we all do not like foreigners who do not adhere to japanese rule and manner. also, we do not like foreigners who do not have willing to speak japanese language in japan.

Probably helps I didnt go through customs but me and a friend sailed from Cpt (Sfrica) to Seychelles and dropped anchor just north of Maputo at a resort, swam to shore for cigarettes and beer there. Then as we sailed on we were hailed on radio by a resort manager to the East on a island that was empty since it wasnt tourist season or something. Drank some more and ended up staying overnight for free in these beautifull rooms/villa with mosquito netting covers. When we waded onshore there was thousands of little crabs hustling up beach with us. To me it holds special memories of adventure and locals were all frendly so I wish them the best.

KMT didn't establish Taiwan, Taiwan was already a province of China during the imperial period but annexed by Japan for between 1895 to 1945.

Love the German architecture, I was based there for 18 months whilst doing my South African military service, I liked Swakopmund and going up the skeleton coast, very romantic. The sunset is so amazing, we used to see a lot of falling stars, we would lie on our backs and howl at the sky, I guess that's what happens when you have been there too long, we called it 'bossies'.

China's territory is the third largest in the world. There are many famous scenic spots, There are 56 ethnic groups in China. If you have the opportunity, you can travel to Xinjiang and Tibet. There are no restrictions on foreigners. Only those who have been there will know how sacred the snow-capped mountains and lakes are.

As long as your mobile phone SIM card has international roaming enabled, you can directly access social apps in mainland China. But if you use WIFI to upload YT videos, you must use a VPN. Because WIFI has limitations.Normal Western corporate websites are accessible in China, but social apps are restricted for political reasons. The U.S. Congress also wants to ban TIKTOK. Because TK challenges the media hegemony of the United States.

Pacific water is always cold. So scary about the tsunami warning. Planning on going to Okinawa in November this year. So looking forward to it. Japan does accept international licences but it's a specific one which you have to make sure it specifically says it includes Japan. Are you able to provide the names of the places you recommend to stay at?

Beijing tends to be very foggy especially up the mountains towards the colder months. In the summer, it gets a lot of dust blown in from the northern desert regions. It's not pollution (if it is, you can smell it - sort of dank, almost moldy scent). We get foggy days in Sydney, Australia too and that's not pollution. Fog is caused by temperature inversion between the different atmospheric layers.

It's beautiful that Germans colonised Namibia. Now in Western africa at least they have beautiful houses and a nice touch of high class civilisation.
