We appreciate the older style cars, there is something so elegant about this era of design. New cars are too mass produced.

Mitch USA ; Thanks guys for reviewing this model. Bought my '99 XK8 BRG Convertible 70,000mi 3yrs ago. It was a little rough. Rebuilding it. It's beautiful, comfortable, fast enough, runs well and easy to work on. I have never enjoyed driving a car as much as this one. I've had lots of fast cars, but this is the best of both worlds.

Nice Review. As an owner of both an 03 XK8 and an 02 XKR, it is awesome to see and hear two younger guys express what is old (51) guys know. These are COOL cars. It’s the feel behind the wheel. The miles are worth the smiles.

I have my 2005 XK8 convertible for nearly 9 years now. I have had various cars since passing my driving test 50 years ago! God has it been that long! I normally change my cars every two to three years, so having this car for 9 years says everything about the car! Good to see youngster enjoying an ‘old man’s’ car, which it really isn’t. Let’s hope more youngsters follow there lead! Buy one now.

Good design is about the integration of ALL the parts. So that the Whole Thing is greater than the sum of its parts. McCallum is a superb designer and has captured this principle brilliantly. ❤️❤️

Young dudes in an old dudes car, love it. I've got one, awesome motors. Only when you drive one will you understand just how great they are. The dash is based on a Spitfire wing. Yes, they are being snapped up quickly now, get a good one while they are still reasonably priced. Subscribed.

Not so. Browns Lane only made components for aircraft, Spitfires were made in the Castle Bromwich body plant which in turn became the assembly plant when Browns Lane closed down.

@@stevebass3992 That's correct, but when Browns Lane closed down, the final years of the XK assembly moved to CB, where its successor, the F-Type is still produced.. I wonder how long CB will survive with its current very low rate of production?

Bought a 4.0 litre XK8 convertable launch car the same colour (aqua marine) in 1997 with 7k miles. Used it for weekend use and now selling it in March 2022 with 107k . Stored it in open barn for 9 years and now selling it. Amazingly it started after 20 seconds after fitting new battery having stood all that time! Mice had nested having entered through boot and then knawed their way into interior BUT had not chewed a single wire including all the very small ones. Best car I've ever had and will be up and running soon after spending minimal amount getting it back on the road. A bomb proof classic with very few problems occuring over the years...

9 years is a long time for a car to sit, pretty amazing it started. I don't think the same would happen in a modern car! I'm sure its only going to appreciate so the longer it takes to get back on the road, the more its worth anyway!

One funny thing about these cars, My dad has one of these. When I sometimes borrow it, it does not encourage me to use the kick down or show it off, Just regular cruise and safe driving, almost slow driving, because it's just so comfortable and relaxing to drive. It almost tells you, heey. "Please drive responsible" and you just obay because it's a Jaaaag. Maybe i'm weird 😅

Not everybody is fond of superchargers..... I was talking to a gentleman about my 2007. Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet 4.... He told me that I would have an easier time selling that than the 4S turbo..... First off the turbos are way more expensive and You just don't need that kinda power with such a Light weight car

I loved Jags...I own a 96 XJS convertible straight 6....IMHO The Exterior is nothing that says Jaguar.. the rear could be from any car (remove the jag logo)...Even the front is a bit iffy ...A Jag should be recognizable from all angles!!...Now the interior screems *Jag!!!!* and very nicely done.. Very Classy!!...The Jags now have nothing stating it's a Jag apart from the logos...Hence... "I loved Jags"
