The COMPLETE Story of the 'Stand Up General Lee' Wheelstander! (Full Dukes of Hazzard Documentary)

Ойын-сауық

Watch My Vlog from the Unveiling of Rich Sephton's Stand Up General Lee from the Volo Museum: • UNVEILING THE STAND UP...
The Stand Up General Lee is a '69 Charger built by Rich Sephton. He was a mechanic on The Dukes of Hazzard TV Show, and Rich built this car outside of work (on his own dime) for the The Dukes of Hazzard's Final Episode. Unfortunately, the Wheelstander General Lee never made it into the show... and caused 30 years of chaos for Rich Sephton. Many different versions of the story have been told in recent years, but they all leave out several parts of the story. This Full-Length Dukes of Hazzard Documentary covers The COMPLETE STORY of the Rich Sephton's 'Stand Up General Lee' Wheelstander.

    Great job on this video and documentary of the stand-up General loved all the enthusiasm you put into this videos. I met Rich a couple times at Dukefest events early on 2001 2002 and had the privilege of hanging out with him and Al Wyatt jr at a hotel in Va hearing a lot of stories of shenanigans behind the scene on 2nd unit I also had the honor of him to autograph the deck lid of my General Lee. RIP to all the greats that were involved with show and thanks for the friendships you all created.

    I have spoken with Amanda, and she brought up to me something I did not know before making this. So, I've learned that Rich's Ex-Wife had nothing to do with the selling of the car during their divorce. That was 100% her attorney's doing. She had no involvement in that. And it was sold to pay $1,500 in attorney fees. The attorney pocketed the rest of the money from the sale of the car. Again, Rich's ex-wife had no involvement in that, and she didn't get any of the money. I wanted to set the record straight here in the comments.

    Wow, that is a long & crazy story that I never knew anything about! My heart goes out to Richard Sefton, having his car stolen from him twice in one lifetime! Shame on his ex for doing that to him! In my opinion, having his car stolen a second time had much to do with a stress filled life & an early trip to heaven! What a story! You did a wonderful job in this video, making it a documentary of the Stand-up General Lee! I will be checking out your store for sure! Thank you for sharing this very detailed story, I loved all the details! I am very leary of people, hearing stories like this, is why trust should be earned & not freely given! I can't image what it does to a sole when deeply betrayed by vandictive & undeserving ex-wives! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!! I worked my life away in a career & never took from someone else! I am proud of that & know I can lay my head down to rest with a clear conscience.

    I always wondered what a Legal expert would say about about the drama surrounding wheel stander. If Rich had walked into an attorney's office with the federal court order, What advice would he have given Rich about getting the car back, once he had lost it a second time? Perhaps the idea of Rich trying to get the car back through the court system was sadly easier said than done.

    I was born on the day The Dukes first aired. I've loved this show my whole life. This story is awesome. I live in Wichita ks a guy that lives here got a couple of his generals in the movie. The one with Daisy washing the car, and the one that got launched over the highway. Hearing this story about the Stand-up General let's us all know that this General is the real unicorn of all the General Lee's, with decklid door hood and quarter panel from other General Lee's not just any 69 charger parts. This car should be in a museum and posed in a wheelie, or posed in a wheelie and mounted high on a pole for the sign to a Dukes of Hazard museum. Unicorn of all Unicorns and I'm not even a Mopar guy at all.

It was funny to see the representative from the Volo Museum talk about the Wheel Standing General Lee. He knows if Mr. Sephton's daughter wanted that car, she could probably get it. Really proud of ya bro! This is a great, informative and comprehensive video about RICH, THE STAND UP GENERAL and ALL THE GENERAL's MEN. Rich would be flattered and proud of ya for honoring them all. I was well aware of the entire history before and just sucks how bastards do sheit like this to good people. Shame that Rich wasn't here to see it. But I know he's looking down and he knows the car is in good hands now. And he knows how good of a job you're doing to spread the story. Cheers brother and YEEEEEEEE, HOOOOO! (1979 JOHN SCHNEIDER version). STAY FUCKIN' REBEL!!!

    Thank you so much Raymond! I'm so glad you enjoy the concert, this video truly is something I'm extremely proud of. It sounds good being able to put together a collection of all the stories about the car that have been scattered and so unheard for so many years. It sure is a shame that Rich isn't able to be here for it, but I know for sure that he is smiling from knowing that his daughters and grandkids were reunited with the car after all these years. Part 2 of the Unveiling is dropping sometime this week, and for the first time video of the car driving will be able to be seen by the masses! I can't wait! STAY F*CKIN REBEL FOREVER! 🤘🏽🇺🇸

    Rad. I saw the car at a Mopar show about 25 years ago. I thought it was a lie. Then I heard it was real. Then I hear it just disappears forever. When I saw it I was all WTF 😯 . There was another general there also. I don't know how many generals went on 2 wheels sideways. But I saw one a few times at a show.

    I spoke with Amanda not long after the release of this video, and she brought up to me something I did not know before making this. So, I learned that Rich's Ex-Wife had nothing to do with the selling of the car during their divorce. That was 100% her attorney's doing. She had no involvement in that. And it was sold to pay $1,500 in attorney fees. The attorney pocketed the rest of the money from the sale of the car. Again, Rich's ex-wife had no involvement in that, and she didn't get any of the money. It was all the lawyer's doing. Its so crazy that he was able to get away with it...

    Yes, however a mistake I made in this video was stating that it was his ex wife who had the car taken, but it wasn't. It was her lawyer, he went behind her back and sold it in a sheriff's lein sale. I didn't learn this until I went and saw the car myself alongside Angela and Amanda Sephton, Rich's 2 Daughters. In this video, Amanda explained what truly happened: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oqZryLeehrm_p8Y.html

    I know rich was done wrong and was technically still the owner of the car but that car was a part of the 2 partners for a long time. The stand up way would have been to let the owners enjoy it or see if they would pass it back to him or work a partnership out! Instead of just taking the car back like that!

  • @ChunkeyMonkey40

    @ChunkeyMonkey40

    Well here's the thing, if you had $26k into a car and it was stolen from you, you would want it back too. The 2 partners were assholes for repoing it back, they didnt have the legal authority to do so. Federal Orders override State Orders... unless you pay off the police department. Plus, those POS people in washington didnt even use the car. It was with them for a long time yeah, but it sat in the back of a warehouse collecting dust. They did Rich just as dirty as his ex wife's lawyer.

    You need to watch the 2 videos from the unveiling of the car that I did. Amanda & Angela Sephton are extremely grateful to the museum for rescuing the car. They can't afford to get the car, nor could they have the time to tour with it like their dad wanted to as they have families of their own. Volo can display the car proudly, and that is all Rich ever wanted. The museum has the Sephton family's blessing. I was with them the whole weekend, they were just happy to have gotten to see it and ride in it. Watch the unveiling video and the video where they got to ride in the car... you will hear what they have to say about it: kzread.info/head/PLiwXbnHdcRbE67z7pyT2_5yWrR7JBoYwf
