Ruler of the Fire Nation during the conclusion of the Hundred Year War, Ozai was one of the most powerful firebenders on Earth, and a driver of industry and technology. Like his predecessors, he had ambitions of conquering the world by bringing down the other nations - becoming supreme ruler. Strategically using Sozin’s Comet, he almost achieved his goal of becoming Phoenix King - but he was ultimately thwarted by Avatar Aang, who took away his bending abilities.
