The Colleges of Law has been hosting debates on California propositions since 2016. This year we hosted a series of three debates virtually about important topics on the ballot this November, beginning with Proposition 25: The Replace Cash Bail with Risk Assessments Referendum.
John Bauters, a former defense attorney with Californians for Safety and Justice, argues in support of this proposition, while Robin Steinberg, CEO of The Bail Project and former public defender, argues against it. Listen to their arguments to get a better understanding of the issues and consider whether you’ll vote “yes” or “no” on Prop 25 on November 3.
