Micah is great but it’s underrated how funny Shearer is 🤣🤣🤣

Micah shouldn't really be on match of the day, given he is an employee of Abu Dhabi FC. The BBC is paying an employee of the biggest cheats in the history of the game. He always defends them, so it's a clash of interests, with them already ruining the competitive nature of the beautiful game, It's just wrong.

@@amrelarcher8990they've famously said that the MOTD format doesn't really allow for too much non-analytical chats in between, especially when, there's already one 'joker' person.. it's unfortunate, but I agree. Surprised how funny Shearer and Keane are.

Gary doesn't realise how much of an inpact hes having on alot of people like me, by creating this podcast and getting Alan and Micah on board. Its such a lovely wee show that takes you away for 30minutes from stuff going on and i could listen to them all day. Peace and love ❤
That Des Walker story was Brilliant 😅 "It worked" & "I'm back" had me cracking 😂

How Eddie Howe has stuck with Jamal lascelles has shown how well he has managed the dressing room. Even with the captain not playing all the time, he still appreciates his professionalism and shows respect to his loyalty to the club.
My favourite football podcast I never miss an episode 😂

What makes this so good is viewer's questions giving a real insight into the game and their careers rather than waffling on about the usual boring subjects
Can’t get over the crack between these three 😆 Creases me whenever Shearer gets on about how massive Micah is 😂
These three are the Top Gear trio of football. They deserve their own show
Such A Great Crack Between These Three Gary, Alan & Micha. Gary L - Your Podcast Brightens Up So Many Untold Lives. 👏👏👏
The banter between these three is unmatched 😂😂 love this pod ✌🏽
It really is one, if not the best, football podcast out there. Love it

I wish every podcast uploaded as often as you do. It's probably my favorite part about it. Seems like everytime I need something to listen to theres a new episode waiting for me.
There hasn't been better football banter and punditry since Saints and Greavsie. Great show, great fun, keep it up lads 👍
44 great episodes already. This is one of thee best football podcasts out there. 💪
Ev1 laughing at Sir Bobby's forgetfulness, but Gary has told the Des Walker story every episode! 😂😂😂
Just a beautiful pod which is also proper informative. It's all about the dynamics with these 3. Really ace 👌🏼✌🏽👊🏽 No BBC restrictions here.
Great banter again. Seen a few say it’s unique I just think it shows the three of you are actually friends and actually want to work with eachother etc

The stories on Sir Bobby are classic, had me in stitches! 🤣 Sir Bobby was always a great gentleman, a dream coach and a better person!
I'm from the states. and a barca fan(lineker 🤙🏾) this podcast never misses. and i dont miss a podcast!
If Shearer played for Fergie, he would have won at least 6 EPL titles easily and probably a champions league or two. Plus his total EPL goals would surpass the 300 mark for sure.
Gary, Alan and Micah are great but you also have to tip your hats off to the people asking these questions. Quality. Best thing on KZread by far. Oh and lets not forget Mr. Fiat Lineker as well XD
Absolutely a gem of a program

Question : what were the type of players you least enjoyed playing against and give examples. Amazing podcast and listening to you guys really makes me crack up after a hard days work
Gary is 62 and shearer is 53... madness. I know these guys since i was a young boy
Brilliant. Cheers Gents. 😉
Love the sarcasm guys as it makes the show that much more enjoyable. Question for Micah. How does it feel to be more famous as a football pundit than you were as a player and is it harder now than it was when you helped Aston Villa go down? 😄
Thanks for answering my question ❤
Best pod out there ❤
My dad doesn't understand Podcasts much but he would be psyched to see two of the deadliest finishers of his era having a chat like this 😊
In terms of VAR I think it would work if you had it working like the challenge system on Tennis. So have the manager and/or captain able to challenge a referees decision and the VAR can then look to see if the decision is correct. Give them say 4 challenges a game (2 per half) and then leave it at that. If you run out of challenges, so be it, let the referees do their jobs otherwise.
@lawrencebaker1811

Exactly this, only thing I'd say is that you get your challenge back if you're proved right. The offsides however would probably need to remain the same.
@whitenbald
6 ай бұрын
I think at some point, VAR will be fast and automated, just like goal-line tech. So I think we'll soon see fully auto offsides. I think then I would agree with challenges for red cards/second yellows. I also 100% agree with Alan about the handball rule - deliberate handballs only.
@strictlygrey
6 ай бұрын
@@whitenbald I honestly think sticking to a set limit would be better, simply because we're already sick of lots of interference from VAR, and this way you limit it to at most 8 uses per game. Totally respect what you're saying though pal, just trying to limit the amount that VAR interferes with play. Totally agree with the handball shout too

I like the idea but I think there would need further tweaks especially around handballs. Handballs are given right now inconsistently so imagine loosing a challenge when it is similar to one against. They just need to simplify the rules and apply them consistently imo.
Perfect timing for my daily commute to work
As a Sheff Utd.fan we have only spent £35m this season from the Primer money the rest we paid off the clubs debts but the gulf between the new teams just gets bigger every year .
Thanks guys 👏🏻♥️
Question - First, i want to say that i love this show and that u guys have amazing chemistry. So a question for each of you, if u did not have your 2 cohosts with you right now on the show, who will u replace them with? Will it be other pundits that you like and have have worked with before, or maybe it can be someone from outside of media and punditry but u believe will make a good/fun cohost? Once again, thank you for the show!
The banter was top level in this episode 😂
I love the stories about Sir Bobby Robson. I remember Bryan Robson told one where he was the World Cup with England heading down in the hotel list to the pool. When he reached the bottom floor, the lift door opened and there was Bobby Robson getting into the lift. Bobby says to him 'hi Bobby' and Bryan replied 'no, your Bobby, I'm Bryan'.

Hello lads, best notification I get when you have uploaded. my question is, if there is a next upcoming charity match, can we see all 3 of you? I think you'll all still have it!💪🏻
Hi lads, loving all the episodes so far. Great comraderie and craic between ye all. A question for Gary....with it being John Barnes' 60th birthday recently, what is your best memory of playing with him and how disappointing was the abuse he used to get from England fans?
So entertaining!!
What a mention by Lineker. Pietro Vierchowod (the Tsar) was a tough defender. Maradona mentioned him as his toughest opponent. Van Basten did also mention him.

The dream they had is a pretty common 'impotence' or anxiety dream. If you were boxer you might dream that you keep punching and the punches had no effect. It's like dreaming about your natural gifts been taken away. Most people will encounter this at some point in their lives. Shows how hard people have to work to overcome the negative voices or doubts in our own minds. Even top performing athletes.

Question for next week: Gary was infamously duped by Chris Morris into starring in an episode (with some other well known TV personalities) for a comedy show in the 90s; have either of Micah & Shearer ever been duped for a TV/Radio show and how? Would like to know when Gary realised and how he felt after realising ir?

Sounds like nonce sense to me
The pure joy of the laughs 😂
People have forgotten what 'ball to hand' is, that's what most of the hand balls are now. If you can't move your arm or hand out of the way then it's ball to hand, like it always was. There's gotta be a line drawn somewhere with the handball rule. Context and common sense also have to play a part in it.
Howard Webb said at the beginning of the season that VAR wouldn’t re-ref the game, yet that’s basically all they’ve been doing this season. Should be there for goaline, touch line and offsides only. And maybe for extreme circumstances(only if the ref actually misses the incident)
As usual brilliant episode, the trio need to take The Rest is football on the road.at least Leeds Leicester & Newcastle with the 3 being from those area's.
big meeks laugh is awesome. so funny. great bants
Sir Bobby. ❤
Love it!
I started following English football in the eighties. My first vivid memories are from the Euro 84. Next, th Mexico 86, with England losing 1-0 to Portugal (my country). I still am an Everton fan and still have a soft spot for England national side, courtesy of the number of ZX Spectrum footy games and to Everton road to Rotterdam. Lineker played for a wonderful Everton team with great players and also for the best set of players in an England national side midfield. Hoddle, Waddle and Barnes were unreal and still there were Peter Reid, Trevor Steven, Captain Marvel...upfront, Lineker and Beardsley were ace. No wonder Lineker almost set the record for most international goals for England. But then, there were the early 90's....the service lost a lot of quality.
Shearer and Lineker have always been funny, it’s just that on MOTD, they tend to be more serious by default!
What was your most memorable moment as a pundit witch wasnt a final Class podcast lads keep it up

How about just changing the rules: any team spending more than 30M£ has to give the same amount to a team in the lowest league to improve facilities and grounds. The investment is a block to going up the leagues.

This podcast is amazing. Does anybody know where we should write new questions in? Cheers
Mikas answer to the question about weather players ever get together to get a manager sacked, is a huge reason I've really lost a lot of interest In modern football at the top level. The players are over pampered pricks with too much power. I hope some players whove taken part in that try managment themselfs in the future.
Should set up a quiz with the overlap podcast 😂
