Two things you can always count on in a Connelly novel . 1 a waitress is going to break a conversation with a plate of food . 2 someone is going to give a hands up I give up hand gesture during a conversation

Connelly always likes to describe the skin around someone's eyes tightening and I always try to figure out what he means lol

Pretty anti-white book for sure.
Just finished reading. This is a horrible novel. Take a normal murder mystery, intertwine ainti White hatred and that is this product.

??. I'm really confused. Ainti! ( I think you meant anti ) anyway, anti White hatred. So you've got white hatred which I get. Anti white hatred, which I don't Anti white hatred suggests to me that there is no white hatred. Stop fucking with my brain and please clarify

Yeah pretty anti-white. Not like his other iterations. And for all the lip service to that paradigm, for it to only serve as a red herring at best... I have to wonder what his motivation for this angle was. I have listened to a couple Harry Bosch books now and I have not seen similar sentiments rear their heads.

Hmmm, halfway thru and not seeing the anti white. Now I am trying to see it but so far only seeing discrimination against minority
