Very cool. Met Alasdair after one of their shows in 2005. I recall him talking about differences in audiences at their shows in Europe & US. He really wanted people to be more somewhat vocal not quiet & reserved. I cried when they played Reflections After Jane.

It’s so funny how different the Clientele’s music is from their Amoeba picks. They make soothing, poetic indie pop (which I’ve loved for a long time!) and almost every pick here is wild, fast, avant garde, or psychedelic.
One of top 10 favorite bands. So much of their music perfectly captures the feeling of walking through town while taking in the details of your surroundings and pondering life. They’re brilliant and criminally underrated.
I believe this is the first time an artist shared music that I have never heard of. Not one single song.

Erkin Koray - great pick! His album from the 70s, Elektronik Turkuler, is a masterpiece.
Would not expect the singer from clientele picking a dnb mix, but here we are. Great band, great picks.

While Violet Hour and Suburban Light are near-perfect albums, I highly recommend you listen to their newest album. It’s really great.
Yeah, "Happy Cycling" from the Peel Session is dope. Good taste overall.

I have two Clientele’s CDs one 60s sounding and an ambient. Both I like. They have eclectic taste.
I love their music so much.
the vast majority of Dead C's catalogue definitely doesn't sound like that. like, at all. great to see them featured though, along with Youngs(!!!), BoC, Scientist, Shepp. top shelf choices all around. these dudes know their shit.

You know what's crazy? I saw that album of Alon Gon in the background of an earlier "What's in My Bag?" episode and looked into their stuff. It's pretty cool to see it be shown here!

Never heard of the clientele before but I know one thing they seem pretty cool and they have very a good musical tastes especially with the jazz albums that they are displaying 👍💯 yeah this was good I enjoyed this episode......
