I can really feel a deep sense of longing in this song.

The best cover songs are done in a completely different style from the original. You know it's great because it makes absolutely no point to compare the two. That means it's a great cover of a great song.

They were like magic....

They were destined to sing together, and born to walk away from the songs they made together! Life is cruel, sometimes! But it's all we have, here and now! This is why we get old, so we can be humbled, and then our souls are riped out of our bodies, otherwise we would never leave!

@ 3:44 and 4:02 is my favorite part of the song, the build up to maximum intensity and then a sudden drop back to the original guitar riff from the beginning; so tight and well-executed.

I spent 2/3 of this song sobbing violently and uncontrollably and by the end I was calmer 💙

Yes! This is what a cover should be - a new piece of work, inspired by, shaped by, but not a copy of a great work to be a new great work on its own merit. Love this.

You guys are so awesome if you don't know how much my soul loves your music there's a lot of Truth feeling in your music.

I love this song so much. It took a bit for the song to grow on me when I first bought the album but it makes you feel so much when I listen to it. it's one of those songs that just can't be ignored. If you want to love this song even more, watch the liveset concert on youtube where they sing this. Oh my gosh, you won't regret it. you'll probably end up watching the whole concert to be honest :)

Humm well like most covers it can't hold a candle to the original. Smashing Pumpkins is just one of those great bands that did their songs perfectly the first time. But as far as covers go this is probably the best cover of Smashing Pumpkins I've ever heard.

YOu don't have to torture your consciousness with endless thinking. We all carry stories inside of us, waiting to be read. Just protecting the pieces, I have left. I’ve left pieces of myself in places I’ll never return. Most of us go through it all kicking and screaming. If YOu don't like where YOu are then move, you're not a tree! Just because she carries it all so beautifully, doesn't mean it's not fucking heavy.

I didn't like this, at first. I'm a fan of Smashing Pumpkins but this was never an "It" song for me. But the more I listen to it (daily, tbh) there is SO MUCH emotion dripping from every word, every note, every breath. Their voices compliment both the song and each other in a way that won't be heard again.

I really, really love the Civil Wars, and this one is my favorite song, because deeply touches my heart. But, I sadly can't watch this video didn't let it available in my country (Brazil by the way). And that just makes me feel betrayed and made me want to delete all their songs in my phone. Just ridiculous.

Disarm by the smashing pumpkins in my favourite song of all time! But this cover.... Like it sounds okay one of the better tsp covers Ive heard but doesn't even come remotely close to the pumpkins version.

My only complaint about this is that at some parts, like just before the chorus, the enunciation trails off into gibberish territory. I think she's supposed to be saying "oh what was I supposed to do" but she's sounds like she's saying "oh what za boys supposed to oo". It's just odd.
