  This feels like seeing a couple in the brink of ending their relationship. That exact moment they know that whatever they have will end. You can feel the sadness and anguish in their voices. The subtle look they gabe each other but not entirely making eye contact is what it makes it even more sad. The song is sung like, "I want you back" but they both know they can't have it back.

  Absolutely floored by this song the first time I heard it years ago. Still an amazing performance. First heard it on the Mark and Brian show on KLOS in Los Angeles. Their program was not a music show but they were highly recommended to listen to the song by a listener or a friend. They played it and were totally stunned as was I.

  Theres such a Southern Gothic feel to this song. And the video perfectly captures the vibe for the track. It almost creates an unexplained mythology for the band that the viewer is left to interpret. Phenomenal group. Wish they were still together.

  These two captured Lightning in a bottle with Barton Hollow. That whole album is amazing. And its sad that they couldnt keep the group together because their chemistry is palpable. Its so obvious that there were some feelings there that just couldn't work in a singing group. Incredible artists. Still cant find anyone who sounds quite like the Civil Wars.

  the song and the video that taught me about the intimacy, love and true connection. I lost the song about 5 years ago. This May, 2024, I have found it, after searching for 5 years. I can't believe. I wish I will find my love like this, at the end. Till then, I'll keep my patience.

  I don’t think there’s any question. The break up was because the two of them were getting ready or already having a fling with each other. If you watch her look at him when she’s singing sometimes it’s very clear.
