I was in the market for a Grand Seiko until I saw your video and now this is what I want and need. Great review! Thanks 👍!
Beautiful watch. I have a bog standard Promaster Diver Eco-drive with the E168 mvt - even that is accurate to 5 seconds per year ( if worn daily) excellent watchmaker.
Magnificent watch! I was very lucky to be able to acquire the AQ4100-06W a few months ago. None better!

A month later I have worn it nearly every day in not even the slightest hairline scratch... I'm very impressed with the Duratect Platinum hard coating. Accuracy-wise it has been speeding up... now likely to gain 5-7 SPY after a month of gain ~ 1/2 second its first month. Its lightness makes it very comfortable. I definitely have no regrets buying it... and it seems there was no duties importing from Japan specifically because it is solar-powered, interestingly enough.

@@teseglet Hello. Then you have Citizen. If so, please describe your impressions after almost two years of use. I am particularly interested in the quality of the Duratect Platinum coating and the accuracy of the watch.

@@krzysztofkaszowski1047 Not long after I got it I smacked it hard into a door jam and it put I tiny pin prick sized scratch into the bezel. As of today, that still is the only mark on the entire watch. No swirls anywhere. I still highly recommend. I have seen other You Tube content creators that have somehow managed to put more marks on their Citizen watches. I could be wrong, but I believe this version, with Chronomaster logo, is Alpha Duratect. Once they changed to the Eagle logo, it is no longer Alpha. It still runs slightly fast around +7 spy. I expect as it ages it may start running slower.
It’s eeeco drive, not echo drive

Tomato, tomato.
Beautiful watch, I have a grand seiko 9f quartz gmt, I love it but that citizen is better in some ways, perpetual calendar, solar charging etc.

Exactly. And I love that all this fantastic tech comes in a low profile package, making it invisible to the uninitiated. The ultimate secret handshake of the watch world.
Thanks for the review. It's an amazing watch. Can you tell me if the 40mm diametre includes the crown ore crown-guards? Or just the case at the 2 and 8 diagonal?
@TSeg-mq6uq
Жыл бұрын
40mm is the case without crown width. My wrist is 7 1/8" and I have determined for me, I do not like my watches smaller than 40mm. I have one, and barely wear it.
I love lume on watches but on a dress watch the surface area is so small you really don’t get great results. My GS SBGN003 has lume, and it looks great when first lit but quickly dies off. The lume on my Casio Oceanus seemed to be better, so for dress-causal watches I’ve gotten used to not expecting long lasting lume. Love your Chronomaster by the way.

It takes a bit for my eyes to adjust to see this lume, as it is not bright... but if I sleep with the watch on, at 4 or 5 am I can easily read the time. I have other watches where my early morning the lume is completely unreadable. So this lume is pretty good in that way, just not "great" if you want to see blazing lume.

No logo on the crown. Citizen(dress watch) never gives us signed crown, I don't know why.

The latest versions of this watch have a signed crown, but I believe they did away with the screw-in functionality... aaaarrrrgh.

Nice watch,but to short secondhand.
Not enough lume? Watch the review of Random Rob. How much lume do want? You need more lume? Buy yourself a flashlight😂!

After wearing for a year, I will admit after my eyes adjust, I have little issue being able to read the time with this lume into the early morning. I will also say that initially, the lume on the watch hands in dimmer than the lume on the dial. Neither, of which, really pop brightly coming in from the sun vs. my Panerai, or my Orient Saturation Diver, for instance.

@@user-gn7bs3sr4i The crown is not an issue. You rarely even need to use it. Once you set the time, it goes forever as long as it’s powered by light at least once every 1.5 years.
