I like how unconsciously the theme of "recycling" can be seen throughout your universe: both Alexander and Shardovan were archetypical rivals of average superhero story until one day they destroyed each other both physically and mentally. What left of them was shrinks of toxicity, that killed loved ones, poisoned entire world and created new cosmic threat in the face of Red, the manifestation of death itself throughout the time continuum. After realizing what they have done, Alexander and Shardovan joined together to make things right once again while reminding themself of who they used to be. And in the end they sacrifice their own lives to give the world another chance by literally erasing their own existence. So that we could have a better future...

I love paracosm like these so much. It's wild how many of us created these fictional universes and narratives when we were little, but seldom talk about them. Like this shit meant so much to us as kids and I feel like that's a big reason why D&D and other tabletop RPGs are popular. It gives us the ability to relive this kind of worldbuilding and storytelling, but actually be able to share it with others.

Thankfully, I don't think this happened actually. Let me explain: Alexander was wiped from existence, thus, Shardovan never had a redemption arc, and never met his arch rival. Therefore, he isn't stuck in space for all of eternity. What I think happened in the new universe was that Jo the Cat, having never sacrificed himself, becomes Shardovan's enemy, and they now fight to this day. Feel free to add on to this as you please.

I previously praised Pineapple Lord for being an interesting and compelling antagonist, but honestly Shardovan does not deserve the same treatment since he is straight up not the antagonist. You have created masterfully done villain protagonist. When the villain's plan is to straight up recycle and your hero establishes a dictatorship to combat it and ban recycling from the earth, therefore causing a massive influx of pollution across the entire planet that sounds like the villain of a big budget version of The Lorax. Of course, Shardovan does end up killing your dad, but only after first being provoked. Had Shardovan been left to his own devices this likely never would have happened, not to mention that the catalyst for the end series is not even Shardovan's doing but rather Alexander. Every single one of the sister's deaths is the result of Alexander, not Shardovan. Meanwhile, Shardovan receives a redemption arc of sorts and Alexander goes only more off the deep end with his fascist dictatorship and crusade against recycling. The end series villain ends up being a consequence of Alexander's own actions, with an entire villain origin story being presented. Is Alexander remorseful of this at all? No! He merely sees his own sister as a villain he must defeat now. Red is straight up the hero of the story whereas Shardovan is an anti hero. Most protagonists would recoil at the sight of their own sister being distorted by blood and vengeance to seek pain on the one who destroyed it, but Alexander proves to be a deconstruction of the indomitable will protagonist by exaggerating those traits to such a degree that he becomes a cold and calculating mastermind. He never gives up, sure, but at what ends will he stop? When left with absolute power, he gets corrupted, not even expressing emotion when his sister dies in cold blood by his own hands over and over in a time loop of sorts. It's interesting paralleling this Alexander with the Alexander from Alexander in Jacob. I don't know if this is some sort of multiverse, or if Pineapple Lord was involved in this cinematic universe due to his multiversal takeover, but the parallel of these two Alexanders show clearly how one is a hero and one is a villain. Whereas Alexander does end up killing Jacob in cold blood in A&J, he ends up feeling remorse and goes on a years long crusade to revive him, only feeling no remorse when Jacob betrays him on his own volition. Meanwhile, this Alexander showcases 0 empathy and does not even pretend to play the role of a hero, taking issue with recycling and not demonic pineapples. Not to mention while the A&J Alexander is psychopathic, for sure, this Alexander is literally pro fascist. And yet as a child the audience always questions whether his actions are done intentionally, framing it as something people can laugh to when in reality they have straight up committed numerous violations of the Geneva conventions. And you have created such a compelling villain protagonist that nobody sees coming until it's too late. This Alexander could serve as a potentially really interesting foil for A&J in the rebooted comic series, provided the multiverse is in effect.

I like to imagine that in the Alexander-less universe created at the end of the story, Shardovan's main rival was Joe the Cat. When Shardovan still turned to recycling, despite his love of violence Joe decided to let him live, seeing that Shardovan was defeated and not being anywhere near as anti-recycling as Alexander was. And so, Shardovan was able to spend the rest of his life doing what he loved most: Recycling. Edit: Also I like to imagine that this series is part of the Jacob and Alexander multiverse.

Damn, this is making me want to gather all my shreds of memory on the universe I made as a kid, featuring war, complex back stories on the creation of the universe and the deities who control the planes of existence, ascentions to godlike status, the living embodiment of evil, so so many deaths of various characters and bringing them back shortly after, a world which couldn't decide if it was futuristic or fantasy (so why not both) and the most important part of any fictional universe...Killing off the main character's parents when they're ten, and then doing it again when they're older. This entire universe also happened to be dictated by whatever new lego thing I got or made (I actually still have a lot of it just sitting around)

    3 ай бұрын

@@LOL-bs1hg I won’t go over everything because I don’t remember it all and even then I’d be here for the next year but I will tell you about the setting: The universe consists of 8 layers, Edorath (The main location with most of the events and characters) at the top and an ocean world I can’t remember the name of at the bottom Each layer is essentially a large floating island however despite the fact that there should be a planet sized island floating above 7 of the layers they are somewhat separate still with different atmospheres and Skys The bottom layer is the only exception to this as while it has a large wall around it it is technically an infinite plane however there is little reason to go out there as there is nothing but dangerous monsters There is also a null zone underneath this area which is another infinite void where only beings of great power can survive for long however this one has an ancient temple created by the father of all holding a powerful artefact. There are 3 ways to travel between these layers, either by using a portal gate, simply being able to just teleport or by taking the long way down from the edge of a layer (I just hope there’s something to break your fall if you take this way) So yeah that’s the basic setting of the universe I somehow made when I was younger If you really want to know more then I suppose I could try to dig up more memories of it

Me and my four friends did a similar thing where we basically made a library's worth of stories, blew up the multiverse sixteen times in one year, and when we moved to different schools we made new friends and added to it further. When I met up with my friend after school he spent five minutes recapping what he and his friends got up to in the month since I'd seen him Oddly enough my character was also a time traveller based off doctor who, and my character originally started as the 485th regeneration of the doctor. I ended up retconning this ten trillion times by doing some wacky thing where I thought I was the doctor cause when he regenerated I somehow absorbed the regeneration energy and became a Time Lord. My most prized creation tho is the hotdog machine gun. It fired frozen hotdogs and I used it to kill a yeti

A couple pieces of paper, drawn on both sides by hand with markers, and TAPED together with no cover page or anything. It was ridiculous, and I’m surprised at how many I ended up making. They’re long gone by now, but it was fun remembering the crazy adventures they went on.
