Mike Myers cited a “The Chris Farley Show” segment with Paul McCartney as a true look into how Chris really was. He apparently was no different than the bashful inner child that was recorded during these interviews. This is how he really was. America’s heart ached for him, for being so kind through and through. Thank you, Chris - for being totally fucking awesome.

For those of us who were in high school/college during this era it was so different. You had to be watching Saturdays at 11:35. No social media to show the best clips. Monday at school if you hadn’t seen it you didn’t get to have all the inside jokes with your friends. Farley was the absolute best. He could have only one line in a sketch, but it would be the one you’d remember because he just knew how to deliver perfectly every time.

This is still my favorite SNL skit ever. You can easily find other skits that have more funny jokes/punchlines but the awkward tension that Chris created with his repetitive "Remember When's" is so easy/hilarious because it doesn't seem like he is acting whatsoever. It feels...relatable. Like if you had the chance to meet one of the most famous people in the world, it would be hard for so many people to conduct a normal interview. We all love and miss you so much Chris. No one even tries to imitate you, because no one will ever able to. And I think that is the best compliment you could possibly get.

Chris farley was one of the best comedians to make people laugh throughout the years. He is definitely missed today. It was really sad when he died. Rest peacefully Chris farley.

The first time I saw this sketch, it took me right back to 3rd grade - my classmates and me making any kind of nervous, awkward presentation in front of the class. Chris does it so spot-on. I love it. I do remember that, and yes, it was awesome.

Never been a fan of SNL, and this skit, too, might not have worked the way it did, if it hadn't been for Chris Farley. His intonation, emphasis, the reserved shifts in his tone, the facial expressions, the stop-start and partially reverse nature of his sentence structure ... even his breathing - they all feel real and genuine, thus enabling the audience to relate to him, as if this wasn't a character in a skit but a shy, soft-spoken guy at your school or job. I've got to say; I'd have never thought that Farley was such a great actor. Hadn't he died so soon, he could have played a and succeeded in a serious drama role.

@Kevin H Agreed. I don’t get why people ignore great actors like Jeff Daniels and only pay attention to talentless, unfunny losers like adam sandler and the shit movies he makes. What’s wrong with people?

It’s crazy, this act and the caricature of his own self in this skit is replicated by so many comedians swear Farley reminded me of how John C. Reilly used to be on that adult swim show

So frickin funny! I wish they would have somehow expanded Chris's character and made a movie. It would have taken some work, but it would have been totally worth it. I'm on a Chris Farley marathon tonight and realized how incredibly cute and handsome Chris was! Wow, cute dimples too.
