I just got quoted $36,000 altogether with all taxes plates etc for a black 25 Le awd with heated grey seats and heated steering wheel the convenience pack. I asked for a discount and they gave me $300 off. I put a $500 deposit to hold the car for me. And they have a 25 underground SE awd for $39,000 altogether but somebody reserved that one already. Both cars are on a train right now on the way to Massachusetts
Looks great in red, doesn't look like a base model, much nicer.
Yes, I think it's the best trim personally. Epecially now that it's upgraded to the latest generation Toyota hybrid system as standard equipment.

The eCVT is a much better transmission. Its not a steel belt thats prone to failure. An eCVT is independent electric motors submerged in transmission fluid. Think of how durable a regular electric motor is, inside a house fan, but fluid cooling the electric motors.

Probably not enough to get to gas station unless you are right around the corner. EV mode on these is mostly for getting out of parking spot or driveway and is very limited as far as speed before combustion engine kicks in(10-15mph) I would be surprised if it went a mile.

Is the additional extended warranty worth it for this car (10 year or 125K miles)? I know it is about 2-3K more, but because of the added complexity to the hybrid and tech it might be worth it. Any opinions? I never got an extended warranty for my cars, but as we know the world has changed.

I guess it depends if you will keep it for that long. If not you can always cancel and they will pro rate it and give you portion of the cost back. I think with prices of repairs right now it's definitely something to consider. Its less than 10% of the vehicle's cost.

It calculates based on the current usage. If the vehicle is sitting and idling its burning gas but not moving hence its 0miles per galon. Once its starts moving it will adjust. Full tank 13 gal at 50mpg should give you 650 mile range.
