My SA and I have been looking/waiting for a navy flap forever and even he didn't know about this. I think I need the largest size just because of those inverted sides, which I agree are the bag's con. A bit concerned about the flap "winging" or protruding out on either side of the turnlock, which is a pet peeve of mine. Great review and glad I found your channel!

I'm really amazed how few people know about this bag. My SA didn't really have it on her radar either until I asked about it. And I think the navy is such a good navy! If you want to carry more the large size might be better for you, but you can try it on (and maybe try your items inside), I suggest it. I think the flap might be prone to winging if it's overstuffed since that in general puts pressure on the bag's shape, but the I feel the edging might actually help with that. I'll have to see over time 🤔 thank you for watching!

Thank you for this in depth view!!! Sad I can’t find this size but yes I may just go for the smaller one or possibly the shopping bag! It reminds me of the seasonalFrench Riviera line as far as having a softer caviar. The sweet flap is much more my style as it is leather lined! Thanks again!

Thanks so much for this video. Super great information! I backed off searching for it so I didn't make a spontaneous decision. I've done this before and then regrets follow. I'm trying to be more mindful. Lol! I still think it's a really good bag for the price point. Also I'm a bit overwhelm ed with the struggle to purchase a Chanel bag, New or pre -loved. So I'm taking the pressure off and really considering what I really want. Again you really did a great job detailing and showcasing this sweet bag. ☺☺☺☺

Thanks so much for the heads-up on this bag as I've been looking for a navy flap for 2+ years and was able to fairly quickly locate/purchase it - likely helped by the fact that most don't even know it exists. Do you have any insight why this wasn't on the website? Do you think that's prevalent with every collection? My SA and his coworkers weren't even aware of the bag.

Oh I'm so glad this video was helpful in you finding a bag you were looking for! From what I've been told, this is actually somewhat common? Not all seasonal bags end up on the website, or even shared with staff. Which I think is a little ridiculous!

Maybe! If you like the look of the WOC and find that the chain works for you, it’s a great piece. That being said, they are SMALL. If you want something you can carry more than just the bare, bare essentials, it might be too small for you. If you can, I suggest going to a boutique and actually trying one on. Even putting your things in it! That might help you decide :)

I really like this bag - how tall are you? I am5’4 and what to know if the bag would be too short for me to wear crossbody? Please let me know so I can search for it thanks - also is the color on the video true navy - meaning does look almost black in any light

I'm 5'7", so I think it would work really well for you crossbody. I would say it's a a little lighter than "true" navy, as it is fairly obvious the bag is dark blue.

@@classicswithaquirk Thanks so much but I was just about to call the SA back and he said the last navy medium in the country was reserved at his boutique but it was just cancelled so I could have it. I was torn between the two but wanted to wear crossbody so I went with the medium which I should get in a couple of days. I appreciate you saying the inside is smaller but the width inside is the same as my medium classic so it should be fine.

I really love it! It doesn't fit a LOT, but it fits my essentials, and I really enjoy wearing it. I also think it's a great navy that matches with a lot ☺️ I bought mine new in boutique, so that's the best bet you have for buying it at retail. That said, it was a seasonal bag so I don't know if the style will come out again.

Isnt this so much more then the price quoted in the comments section for $4100? I am confused. If this is a 2100 year bag, is this price overly bumped up at prelove store? what do you think ?

That is MUCH higher than retail price! It sounds like a case of reselling for profit 😞 retail was, yes, $4100 (+tax for me)

I don't know if the price has gone up on it, but if it has, I doubt it would be by $2k! That being said, this was a seasonal bag and I don't know if more were made or in stock

I live in a state where there's no Chanel store and since they don't sell handbags online, my chances of finding this specific one in store it being seasonal is probably rare. I dunno. $4100 plus tax!

The bags are calfskin not caviar....caviar leather is only reserved for classic flaps in Chanel’s production. The two leathers are similar but different.

Caviar leather is calfskin! It's calfskin with an artificial grain embossed into the leather. This seasonal bag has what is called a "soft" caviar, which is a lighter embossing 🙂

Thanks for this informative video. But is it just me or do the diamond stitching on the bag and pocket at the back not align? Chanel's craftmanship these days doesn't seem to be at par with what they had in the past. :-(
