It’s hard to get into the habbit of wearing protective gear in general, but yes, you do actually get used to skating that way and feel naked and vulnerable without them once you get used to it.

Hey Brandon, thanks for making the follow up to the original video, and holding yourself to that promise of going all in to rock it no matter what. I agree on the certified helmet for head protections you mentioned, that inner plastic layer cracks apart once it's done its job. It also funny you experienced the same thing I did with the lack of helmet after you've become used to it even after a short amount of time. I'm adding this to the site, and will be making a follow up video soon about it as well (linking to your two videos). Glad it worked out and people are taking notice of your skating. - Travis | Blader Union

Great review and great message! It's so good to see a talented young blader like you wearing some protective gear. I got the same helmet when I was in the U.S. this summer (different colour). I used to have the old sweatsaver helmet and it was not certified so not as safe I guess. The new one is bigger but I guess that's because of the extra protection.

I think I'll get the white to offset the heat. Thank you for the review. So important to get geared up. Worth the cost vs. hospital bill$, time, pain... etc.

I been looking into the 888's. They are the safest around im seeing and doesn't that model you have there also have an antimicrobial feature so It wont smell? I think that one might. I always get my stuff through Roller Warehouse. Cheers mate.

I have a weird problem when it comes to helmets. No, it’s not that I don’t want to wear one. It’s more of the fact that none fit my head! Mind you, I do wear a helmet but sadly it’s an uncertified one but that’s the only one that can fit my head. Yes, you are right and it has saved me from some scrapes and actually some minor tumbles where my head made contact but I doubt it will fully mitigate a serious fall. But here I am, stuck with the helmet I have as no other recourse. Long story short, protect your brain bucket with something, anything, if you are in a situation just like myself.

That makes sence. Sucks that they all dont fit. There must be something. I noticed the sizing kinda sucks when i was looking.

I had to try 4 different brands to find the best helmet for me, cause of my small head. Now I have an Triple 8 too, but the classic certified brainsaver.

Triple 8 makes a certified sweatsaver called the Heed for people with this issue that you should look into. Also videos of the results of an fall with an uncertified helmet to keep you safe, now that you know there is a safe option for you. For people with smaller heads, they have certified sweatsavers that are small enough to fit my 3 year old nephew. You only one brain so please don't put off getting a certified helmet if you haven't already :)

Try a company called vigor they make comfortable helmets. My dad has the same problem and tried many and that’s the one he went with.

You probably have a different shaped head from the usual. There are normally 3 different head shapes. Find out which one you are and then look for companies that make helmets with your particular head shape. This is standard info for motorcycle helmets. 1. Round/Oval 2. Intermediate Oval 3. Long Oval

Good, but half the time you're holding the helmet upside down, and then shaking the helmet around the whole time you're talking.

Skate helmets do not protect against concussions.
