Well, you got more than 6 seconds. You got 90+minutes of it and it's Marvel's biggest bomb. Hopefully you enjoyed it in that empty theater you were in

I love the idea of Monica and Carol having this tense broken pedestal relationship while Kamala is in the middle idolizing both of them and unintentionally bringing them back together as friends. At least, that's what I assume/hope the plot will be on some level based on the leaks

A close knit ensemble is exactly what the first captain marvel movie was missing. It was hard to do that with the amnesia story in the first film.

I once made a comparison of how Carol's brainwashing and amnesia was handled vs. Bucky's similar situation for another video on YT or on Reddit for a discussion on Captain Marvel. I noted that Carol being made into "Vers" and used as a weapon against the Skrulls and other enemies of the Kree didn't have the same impact as Bucky being the Winter Soldier because we didn't get any real sense of Carol's real personality before she was captured and brainwashed. We got to know Bucky and observe his friendship with Steve, mourn his loss alongside Steve, and cheer Steve on when he fought to reawaken his friend's true personality after discovering Bucky was still alive; with Carol, we didn't get any clear sense of who she was before being brainwashed because the majority of the material we got showing "true" Carol was the "rising from the ashes" montage, the dogfight with the Kree fighters and Carol's attempted self-sacrifice by blowing up the light-speed engine. No real scenes with being besties with Maria, or an aunt/second mom to Monica, or showing Carol as more than a cocky pilot.

@@generalilbis those are very two different ppl in two very different eras. It would’ve been better to compare Carol’s Personality to the Young Pilots in Top Gun Maverick then WW2 PoW Bucky. Before Bucky was captured he was also the more confident friend of him and Cap.

@@alyshiarodgers4500 The comparison of Carol to Bucky I was trying to make is not meant to reliant on them having nearly identical personalities, but looking at how the MCU handled presenting a character with amnesia in two different situations and why Bucky's story arc works better. Yeah, Carol is more in line to the hotshot young pilots from TG2 in her personality but I still think there are similarities between her and Bucky.

@@generalilbis I know. It’s just I think the Main Difference between Bucky and Carol is Bucky had way more brainwashing added to his amnesia while Carol was actually having her amnesia fixed, even though it was for nefarious reasons that she didn’t know of.

I'm loving this dynamic already! they all really compliment each others personalities. Carols seriousness, Monica's realism, and Kamalas innocent optimism will make such a great team! looking forward to see how this plays out!

@@guidopasquetto911 not a trailer but the chemistry between the cast goes so far and they actually have specific good things to say about it. most of these casts seem to have no clue what the story will be about with all the reshoots and changes they make in editing. the recent movies and half the shows clearly go in with too many ideas and barely execute on half. a stronger single vision wouldve helped many of the more promising but ultimately lacking projects lately.

Nia's relationship with them seems fantastic, can't wait to see how that translates into the screen

Honestly the actress Iman made me like the Ms.Marvel show her personality and energy is infectious

When they were talking about Kevin Fiege it reminded me of the best bosses I’ve had. They realize that their job is to help you do your job. They don’t get full of themselves but help everyone work together as a team.

I’m really looking forward to this. But Monica Rambeau has got real beef with Carol. In some ways, Carol was like I’m going to go get some milk. And Carol was like Monica’s aunt. So Monica goes through all kind of life changes, including losing her mother during the Blip and still no Carol. That would make me feel a certain kind of way. I know, saving the universe. But still……. I guess I can empathize. I’ve had great friends of my parents ghost me. You tend to not be as open with people.

Yup. She became an astronaut. I’m sure that had something to do with looking for Carol. It’s been over 20 years for them.

Iman is such a freaking sweetheart 😩 I’m in my early 20s too so like even though we are adults I’d be freaking out the way she is. It is beautiful to see a female adult in the industry who is okay with geeking out and not feeling like she needs to be sexualized or take herself too seriously once she turns 17/18. I am the same way. If I was in these movies as a mega fan like Iman, i’d behave the same way lol. I am super excited for this movie and pleasantly surprised to see a blck female director for this marvel movie! I enjoy marvel movies regardless of who directs them (I actually really like the Russo’s) but it is awesome to see the representation as a bw who has always loved marvel comics and movies ever since I was a kid.

I love that Iman Vellani is the first one of "US" to join the MCU. She was a super geeked out fan who is now part of the universe so it's beautiful to see her living her/our MCU dreams! Also, LOVE Nia DaCosta!!!!! I didn't know she was directing *The Marvels* so I'm definitely going to support it in theaters now instead of waiting for Disney+.

Great Chemistry between them all!

I like how the director express herself and about the concept of the movie, also the bonding on here is amazing, looking forward to the marvels

FINALLY!! gosh it felt like foreeeeever getting this sequel. i wanna see what happened between Monica and Carol. we ended the first movie with all things being hopeful and lovely, then by Wanda Vision, Monica clearly had deep seated issues with Carol. 😢 and then we have Kamala who marches to the beat of her own drum but who's entire family history probably is the most tragic of all.... gosh i wanna see this movie NOWWWWWW 🤩

Can't wait for this movie. The first one got me back into the MCU, really connected with Carol and loved her supporting characters. Monica's awesome and Kamala's adorable. I really think it'll translate well on screen and be a super fun movie.

I can tell I am going to love it❣️ Especially, thanks to Iman Vellani’s excitement and child like joy, free of jaded cynicism that adults always carry a degree of. I miss my child like joy, I held on for long, but by my late 30s it hit me. Adulting can suck the joy out. It’s more mental and emotional work to get that joy back. Only my baby nephew and my kitty kids duo can really bring it back to a good degree and fleeting moments like this.

Nia Dicosta sounds like an awesome person and she seems to have the theme of the character of Captain Marvel and the universe down pat. That makes me really excited for this film.

Kamala makes an excellent addition to The Marvels for the following reasons: 1. She is a kid. To adults, she does not understand the situation. Kree and Skrulls will try to explain their side of things to her. 2. As seen in Ms Marvel, she is an empathetic person who always strive to help people where she can. Other than bonding with Carol and Monica and expressing her struggles, she will also understand the struggles of other people. 3. As they say "never meet your heroes". In the show, there is a scene where she talks about what Carol would do, Bruno's responds to that by saying "Carol then would be reckless". During this, it is indicated that Kamala is not Carol and she has different solutions to problems. 4. Monica's connection with Carol is already in question so she can have a strong relationship with Kamala before Kamala has that with Carol. 5. Conflicts with Monica and Kamala will help Carol be a better hero and in the end, all three of them will unite and form a unique bond. I feel like we did not see much of Carol in the first movie. She was told to hide her emotions and not let them take over her. She behaved like a soldier throughout most of the movie, she lost a large chunk of her memory so she did not bond with anyone other than Kree soldiers and Fury. She realised that everything she knew before getting to Earth was a lie. This film will give her the opportunity to connect with different people and we will get to see her deal with a variety of problems including how to approach a difficult scenario.

You can feel and see that they had fun and the sisterhood is evident...

I can't wait for The Marvels 🥰

I know the movie is already out, so typically there aren't any more interviews with the cast, but I need more of this group together! The movie was great and I can't wait for them to all hopefully return! Love that Teyonah mentioned Monica and Carol's relationship. I was so hoping to get some explanation/resolution to that. I would have loved a nice few minute long, sit down/deep talk, but what we got was satisfying enough. Great characters, great storyline!

first off, i'm glad director Nia DaCosta is a FAN of marvel, that means we should be getting a story thats true to Marvel, and not some off-brand story form someone who doesn't understand the characters I was so disappointed with Wonder Woman, I'd really love to get Captain Marvel on track, as well as see what Monica can do. The ladies are very important in Marvels' story lines
