Heard about this, forgot about this and then found this let's play. The advancement from Mordheim is obvious and I very much enjoyed your style. Thank you for this.

Really glad to see you playing this I was waiting for some proper looks at gameplay before i settled on getting this or not and now I'm defientely getting my hands on this. I played mordheim before so I knew I was more worried about what's chnages than what hasn't like the smaller team in actual missions but I feel a lot better with the choice seeing this. You're people can do a lot more in one turn especially if its actions that don't involve combat

Looking forward to the next episode (especially after the spoiler)! I didn't think I was interested in this game (would have preferred an XCOM style) but you make it look like a lot of fun :D

I'm having a lot of fun with this game and I'm glad you are too :) Did make me laugh a little when you pick your character and notice she is bleeding then pick up a coagulant and immediately say "Neither of these heal her" and run off bleeding ^^

Would you comsider doing the Story mode playthrough please? I have just picked up the game and being a denizen of Under-London, I appreciate the accent (channeling Alan Partridge...)ans the sense of humour!

oh hey when you changed the perks, the body of the character changed as well. Healthy made her more... well, rounded and filledo ut in terms of a healthy body. Athletic made her slimmer and legs looked more 'springy' so to speak. That's actually cool!

Just played the first couple story missions. I like it and I hope the multiplayer has a following. Because I'm. Looking forward to jumping on!

Turn based is awesome. I really loved mordhiem. So this will be fun game to learn. WH table top is turn based so its logical. To be TB. Omg total warhammer 40k now theres an idea Janet. So good

TBH, I think the Wargame/SteelDivision engine might be a lot better suited for 40k than the Total War engine.

I reckon TW40k would work out perfectly fine. They'd just have to create some additional bits and pieces. Troy has done plenty to environments to add additional cover with long grass and the like, so just add craters to take cover in or whatever else. And they've had units able to line up against cover forever, too. And spells have done a huge amount for the SFX so lasers, lasers, and more lasers shouldn't be an issue. I think it's totally doable and I'd appreciate the carnage on that kind of scale :P Still, it'll be a while if they ever do since they've still got Warhammer fantasy to finish :)

I miss the original tabletop game. Too bad this couldn't have just been a video game version of that. Good video man, got to see a fair bit of content.

It's warhammer 40k and not even a pipe is allowed to look like another pipe. That would be war.

it is a very good conversion from table top to PC. that said, I think you will like this game as a turn based games go. I would love to see this applied to WH 40k table top Astartes and some xeno faction, would be perfect.

the mechanics looks fun!

Ive played the shit out of the TT version. Also mordheim city of the danmed ..... loved it but the really should of added more warbands.

Anno H87 would be the date, I think. Since Anno means ‘in the year’ or ‘the year of’ in Latin. Its used in court and stuff as Anno Domini ‘In the Year of our Lord’ it is much more commonly shortened to AD ie; AD 2020. Although I don’t know what H87 would be. Hive year 87? Hive century? In the 87 Year of the Hive? That doesn’t make much sense.

Exhaustion just means you can't use entrench again. I'm on console so up on the dpad shows buffs but I'm sure there is a button for it on pc.

Those arrows at the top of the fighter screen are so it can work with a controller or console.

That's probably their intention, sure. A simple button prompt on either side of menu buttons would have sufficed. UI can adapt to different input methods so there's no need to have redundant rubbish on my screen when they're missing important utility such as swapping between characters easily. There's no excuse for bad UI :P

Idk if this is a good strat or not, but in theory, if there is only on extract point, couldn't you just sit the extraction point the whole round and wait for them to kill each other then pick them off when they go to leave

To answer your question about the arrows, I think they are there for people with controllers instead of keyboard/mouse.

UI is adaptive so nothing has to be there for any particular input device. Even then a button prompt on either would have sufficed and they could have used those arrows to give us an incredibly useful piece of functionality instead of navigating a terrible menu system. If I want to check which of my gang might warrant a new piece of armour I have to click at least 3 times per member of my gang. That could be one click, instead. Same with levelling all my gang members or anything else that I have to do after every mission. Instead there's redundant rubbish where intuition suggests that functionality should exist :P

@@JanetOnOccasion You are definitely right on every point. Im enjoying Necromunda, but I do think the UI needs a lot of work. There is some basic needed functionality that just isnt there. I find myself fighting with the UI more than I am enemy gangs.

IKR! It's why I'm basically trying to do most of the equipment checking an' the sort off camera. Anything more than a cursory look at skills and XP just drags on too much :P

Absolutely, Anno is Latin for 'in the year of the world'. In common usage is the term Anno Domini meaning 'in the year of the lord' hence this year is 2020AD, supposedly 2,020 years after jesus christ, according to medieval Christians

AI feels a bit clunky should make it focus a bit more on the player.

@@PartisanGamer God i'd kill for them to rush me I don't know if it's my set up, but my melee focus team seems to make the ai hide back in their spawn point as they don't seem to want to advance as I have my melee slowly move up and ambush with my long range picking them off

I don't know, it feel so slow.... I mean, is cool and good looking, but the gameplay seems really clunky. I think that this game would be perfect on a portable console or mobile phone, I don't see myself sitting in front of a PC JUST to play this.

Hmm, only three gangs available so far.. For a game that costs as much as this, that's disappointing. Has the feel of a half finished game. Lets hope the devs release ALL the gangs, Ratskins, Scavvies etc and not follow the same route as Mordheim.

Honestly, I find that there's plenty of variety with just the 3 gangs. It's not an expensive game either. Compare this to any number of AAA titles and it's giving us plenty for half the price :)

How big can you make your gang - 5? It feels at the moment like a half complete game, which sadly doesn't appear to capture the charm of the table top game.

Would it be that hard to just do games like the space marine or dawn of war 1/2? I had enough of stupid turns :D

Which suggests that fans of those games also have no issue with turn-based systems :P Besides, it's more down to the fact that real time action games are simply too expensive for most developers willing to take a chance on Warhammer. Usually if they have the money to develop some grand RTS or FPS they don't want to be throwing money at a license when they could keep all of the money. Thank god for CA for having a crack at it :'D
