Love your content and since you asked for ideas I really think you should build a passenger port. Maybe closer to the city whit the ships coming from the other water connection

Hello Keralis, I am very concerned about our saved games. The harbour-like roads around (waterfront) the water have been completely ruined with the latest update. Is this also the case with you? This causes huge terraforming problems that cannot be repaired unless you tear everything down. However, I have a solution and that is to reinstall the old version via Steam console. NB! If you have the latest version, first check whether your roads and waterfronts are completely intact! Otherwise, immediately close the game and go to a previous version! People please pay attention! This can cause a lot of frustration for some people.

No a fan of how it creates a square without trees around it though
A few things: Some of the road layouts make traffic much more likely. For example, you have almost the entire industrial area served by a one lane exit off the highway, causing backup. To fix this, you'd need more road connections from different directions, not just widen the exit ramp, so residents have more options and the traffic is distributed more evenly across the area. It's a choke point. The location of the cargo terminal forces trucks to navigate through the entire area and make multiple turns, causing there to be more truck traffic in the whole industrial area than there has to be. Low housing supply is the root of a lot of problems. Homelessness and complaints of high rent emerge out of there not being enough housing to meet the very high demand for housing of all densities, just like the real world.

In my last CS1 city, I built a small reservoir where my sewage went, placed those garbage collectors in the water, and placed pumps on the other end. Sewage was filtered into clean, usable water and sent back into the city.

You should zone out a bit of low office buildings in the harbour to break up the monotony of all the industry buildings.
Hey Keralis glad to see you back on the city builder again. Tha cargo train station has an entrance and an exit. You have the exit blocked with the additional warehouse. The truck will come in one side and exit the other if that path wasn't blocked.
"It's not perfect but it's mine." Papa K never stops inspiring me with his visions but also to remind me to play a game for my own enjoyment. Love the episode!

When you get "pathfinding failed", you can use Waypoints to create Smaller, Sub-Routes and see at what point it starts complaining. Waypoints won't count as a stop, but will start to draw your route and control it. This also helps for some other cases, like in your city where you have the Cargo Train Terminal, you can use a waypoint to stop the buses from going around that U Turn and force the buses to turn Left.
Some people suggest that you should put the medieval castle on the island, but I would recommend putting it somewhere high on a mountain. Then you could make a small bendy road going up to the castle, leading to a parking place next to it. If you look at castles in Italy and France, that is exactly what it would look like. You could put down a big landmark on the island instead. Either way, love the series!
Begging you to rework that one intersection in downtown at 1:00 that keeps being a pain! The close proximity to the next intersection and weird angles are likely what is causing the traffic problems in that spot. Love the series!
At 10:30 It's called Minas Tirith, which is the capitol of Gondor, also known as The White City. Yes i'm a huge LotR nerd LOL
The ships do fill up with cargo when the docks have them but trucks have to deliver the cargo. So give it time and you should see cargo going into the ships. You can see how much cargo is in each dock by clicking on it and it shows in the menu

You should make the area above the dam bigger so it is more of a lake or reservoir. You should also connect all the ports of the harbour as you are only at half efficiency right now.
If you want to move the pillars all you need to do is double click with the road tool selected in the location that you want the new node 😊
That "bellissimo" at 19:22 caught me so off guard, It was sooo smooth! I was like "Wow. Keralis suddendly is Italian". Love from Milano😘🇮🇹
You should use developer tools in the Harbor area. You can then draw surfaces with the same tool you did Oil Rigs and draw some nice concrete textures around the harbor, it would look cool! Biffa made a video about developer tools.
Something I like about CS2 is that people and traffic don't just randomly spawn and despawn like craycray in CS1. Graphics with the colours and resolution detail is improved from CS1 too. I've ordered a new custom desktop PC (Intel Core i7-14700k, RTX 4080, 64GB DDR5, 2TB M.2 Samsung 990 Pro SSD) which should be arriving within the next 2 weeks. When it arrives, I'll get the game. Until then, I'm rocking my 2016 PC (i7-6700k, 16GB DDR4, GTX 1070, 1TB Samsung SATA SSD).
Hey Keralis if you wanted the medium boat waterway under the bridges you could try to use the gray suspension bridge, like the one smaller than the red Golden Gate Bridge. And see if it works, idk if it would but it could possibly span the gap across the water to let you continue the medium waterway through the harbor without any annoying supports in the way.

Love watching Keralis build cities. Regarding the dam. Most of them in the real world operate in a cascade. You can put another one down the stream for even more powaaaa.
Keralis is the Bob Ross of this game and I love it
*Keralis the reason you have traffic on your industrial bridge is because you only have one exit to the industrial area and everyone is waiting in line so to decrease the amount of traffic add more roads to the industrial areas (more off ramps to the industrial area)*
the fact that his first reaction to Notre Dame (a French landmark) was "le baguette" 😭
If you double click with any road selected in other piece of elevated road you can create a new pilar 🤗 enjoying the series a lot btw, its amazing :D
thanks for a great end to my day! You have a wonderful night and don't ever stop this series, love
Hugh Mungus what?? 🤣🤣🤣 classic
Wow the cargo harbor is beautiful!! The seawall placement is impeccable! Watching the water fill up was extremely satisfying! Cant't wait for the next episode Keralis!!! Take care!
Yes, I love this series Keralis. this makes my day everytime
4:10 took me out on the floor 🤣🤣
I'm definitely enjoying this series. Thank you for having fun and sharing with us!
These long, slower paced episodes are my favorite
I see where your problem is at 8:10 If you look at where the traffic is heading. It's all going to the industrial area from 3 lanes to 1 lane. Your best bet right now is to take the left 2 lanes farther down the main road and loop it around the far end into the back streets. Then widen the exit they are taking to 2 lanes. That way the 3 lanes can be merging into 4 lanes all up. If that doesn't work. Maybe make a 2 lane exit onto the lower road that comes under the congested road next to the river.
I'm loving rhis series but jeez man im addicted please upload more keralis!!!
Thank you Keralis for all the years of chilled hilarious gameplay!!
i love watching your cities skylines 2 videos! i never got anywhere close to a city as well-zoned and good-looking as yours in the first game XD
Every time you upload a new episode it's like Christmas, thank you so much for these videos
This series is so great!!! Get excited every time you post Keralis!!!
Alrighty! Thanks again for uploading this series. Now let's see that cargo bay!
Love the way you made the quays for the port. I'll definitely be using that for the next time I do quays one the shoreline. Also had an idea, instead of skipping you building roads, pathways, etc. And then showing us the end result. Maybe do a quick time-lapse of that instead, so we can see how you do it? TY, and loving the series!
Game is definitely unpolished but I enjoy it nonetheless. Once they bump out more little animations for the special city buildings (like watch eggballers play eggball or seeing runners on a track) then it would be icing on the cake.
I'm glad you mentioned your Hermitcraft season 7 build, and the cargoship game sounds like a hassle! Thanks again for an awesome episode
instant relaxation, thank you Keralis
Papa K just casually dropping the legendary Skibitth's name. Love it
Keralis’ wonderfully obscure song references always crack me up. Haven’t thought about Paul Lewkakis in ages.
Everyone I've seen build a shipping harbor brings the harbor to the water, not the water to the harbor. This was brilliant!
Keralis - I think you got the most pleasant YoutTuber voice to tune into. I am very happy that you had decided to tuned in on CITIES SKYLINES 2. WOW, This upload was quick! Less than a couple days since the last one. This is easily my favourite series on KZread.
these episodes are a treat
I work at sea (on a passenger ferry) and i love the detail on the cargo ships. Ive seen lots of cargo ships and these look fantastic
you are really great to watch, I have never played city skylines before, and every day I check to see if there is a new video yet, really keep it up and please also do a subway through the city that would be awesome!!
keralis I love your commentary... the little sounds you make when you see something like a train or zoom in or the helipopter...
You can tweak road/bridge pillars by double clicking with the same road type in build mode to add new pillars. Doing it close to other pillars removes the old ones 😊 Same way as you add nodes for controlling merge lane length 👍

putting another dam would be cool and also quite realistic, dams usually come in sets for safety
Hi Keralis! You should add another road connection on the other side of the new harbor area. It will avoid any more congestion in the main access to the industry valley.
Keralis, You should replace one of the bridges going into the industrial area with the golden gate bridge
@dustind3960

Golden gate bridge plese
This is so peaceful I luv it keep up the good work
Never get bored to see such magnificent road layout~ the best i ever seen~ :D
Keralis!! You can have adjustable quay walls!! Just place your road so it cuts the terrain, making a retaining wall, and flood the road!! You can change the height with terraforming and rename the street to a dot. Just make sure it's not connected with your accessible roads or it will get a warning.
Watching Keralis's patience with this half done, buggy game is incredible.
Heck Yeah!! Earliest I've been to one of your videos! Long time subscriber for over 10 years!! Love you Keralis and hope the family is okay! :))
The ships have so much detail, they even modelled little lifebuoys! I'm a bit sad as well that the loading cranes don't move....but ok, you win some, you lose some with this game :D "Why do I play games like this?"....jep, that's something I ask myself as well quite frequently. :D
This is really relaxing to watch
Love these video. It's very relaxing keralis play Cities Skylines II. ❤❤❤❤
Ps make sure that your roads and and rail hooked up to you cargo harbor docks
I am so glad he is uploading this regularly, instant like.
I did the same....spend most of a day planning and making a kickass harbor...spend hours to make it look just right with quay walls and roads.....just to find out it murdered my post offices and therefore my citizens happiness so i had to delete the cargo terminals as they just hoarded all my city's mail....but it looks amazing and now i just have to wait for Paradox to fix the entire mail system so i can re-plop my cargoship terminals, and rebuild the mail sorting facility....good times making a gap and letting the water fill up was worth the work :) You may wanna check your mail infrastructure again after making the harbor......cos that and the cargo train terminals will obliterate your mail services...just a heads up
Ive been obsessed with this game! Im def bad at it but I really like watching ur videos!
WOOO LOVE THESE!
A library near a railway? That's a great idea, now they can read a book while looking at trains!
Keralis I’m in love with the series I only have one request can you do a live episode or an episode with no cuts I don’t care how long it is these 50 minute videos aren’t enough for me but no matter what I’m loving this series 100%
II really do not understand why, but I actually really like CS2 videos, they calm me down, no matter how ridiculously illogical or inefficient anything might be. Even abandoning the homeless and letting them indefinitely occupy the tennis courts makes me only smile... now I think about it I'm not that sure anymore if these videos are good for me... :D
You can sometimes get inside some buildings (most dont have interiors, some do) with the photo mode camera, cuz that has more unlocked movement.
