I actually think you've done a lot in this one! The university, auto parking, traffic fixes and general expansion, the new police HQ.. Not every episode has to have one big project in order to count as progress, sometimes doing a little bit of everything actually works out better for a game like this imo :) Also, I think it's really refreshing and fun to watch someone who actually loves all the tiny details as much as I do, so honestly never apologize for getting distracted by simply looking at the game - It's part of the fun! Also, I think once you do get around to placing the tram, you'll be very happy. Not only does it look great, but placing it should be really easy! The tool itself actually works very smoothly from what I've seen, and your main roads are already pretty wide so you should have no issues integrating it into your existing road network. I bet a lot of people will use them, so it'll help with traffic (especially around the downtown areas) and might even provide further income.

Your use of heights for arterial roads is very visually pleasing and breaks up the grids well. Don't worry about using dev mode. I think there may be an option to just remove weather if you still wanted the other seasons, though winter doesn't look too good right now. You could even remove ground pollution to speed up your development of that ex-industrial area, as you could achieve the same by just leaving the game running anyway. Loving this series and hope you continue for many more episodes!

It's a small harbor with lots of parks, pathways and also a place where the city has events/concerts. We also have the skyway here which is scary the first few times you drive over it but its amazinggggg. I encourage you to take inspiration from Buffalo :D

Since you asked about the seasons and the weather: don't worry about it. The primary point is to enjoy what you are doing. If you aren't enjoying it, it makes the work that much worse, and risks reflecting in the final product. Anyone who wants to look at the date and claim the weather doesn't match... it's North America; there are parts that don't have distinct seasons. It's fine. As for 1.5 hours of placing paths, I love it. The tweaks are what really make a city shine. Seeing a bit of the thought process that goes into the path design could be good for some inspiration, but seeing it as it is, well it's still inspirational. Loving the work.

@Keralis the issue with the in-city traffic is because: (a) you need a highway loop around the city west of the industrial area so that those that want to go around coming from that direction don’t have to cut through the city (and likewise east of the city so those that want to go to industrial but not the city - or neither - don’t pass through the city). And; (b) the big parking within the CBD attracts more car traffic into the denser area, perhaps when you get a commuter town/small settlement move the parking there next to a station as out-of-town workers have no incentive to use public transport (despite the cost… but I suspect price is not well-modelled in the game) Other than that, looks cool!

Also, some other yt-er also did the 50$ parking lots and it worked haha we should be careful with how loud we speak of this or otherwise they will change it in the next update!

I love city skylines and I think that CS2 has some real issues that I hope the devs will, as they did with the first, fix these to best of their ability. But I worry people are seeing some mechanics as bugs that aren't. So the rent 'bug' as an example keralis has shown was actually an issue with development where people didn't feel satisfied with their level of care in the city as a whole so weren't willing to pay as much tax. Also big clumps of people was something I saw as an issue but as it turns out in this episode they're likely all just walking to work together because they moved in about the same time as that place was built hence they all work there. If there aren't enough job opurtuinites they will clump like that. That's something that needs to be fixed by the city builder its a finite aspect of a very detailed simulation that you could integrate into your city building. I honestly love this games mechanics and I think we need to see the bigger picture of what the devs have made here :) (let me know if there's any errors in my spelling or wording I'll try fix it in edit)

Hey Keralis, you can change how buildings are placed by turning off the snapping options that show up to the left of the assets screen. Then you don't have to put the building directly on a road, and you can rotate the buildings too. Also, most of the buildings are actually huge, theyre much more realistically sized and skylines 1 buildings were TINY! lmao I love your series! You don't pretend to be a guy who knows everything about everything and its so much more fun to watch someone organically play and learn the game. Can't wait for the next update!

Btw, you often scold yourself when you were distracted by the city instead of building things. But I actually enjoy those moments as well. In fact, I'm hoping you include more showcase of your city. Like following the train, a citizen, or just watching the intersection. Maybe you can add a brief city tour at the end to showcase what your build, or maybe a separate dedicated video.

When you made the train station at the University, it could be cool to have the tracks cross the street instead of go under the street. It would look nicer with only one track not 3 though. Love your vids and have been a long time subscriber. Keep up the great work on this amazing series!

Hey Keralis, great video. I love it when you are just watching the game and dropping your comments. Poor little hamsters. Regarding parking fees, you might overthing people charging that much. The fees reduche the household surplus and they can't upgrade their houses.

I'd really love to see the detailing bits that you cut out! You're so good at making nice road layouts and doing detailing as you go, rather than expanding all the time and leaving the detailing at the end. I'm learning so much just from watching you. Maybe try making a shorter version of the video without the detailing and make a new commented timelapse detailing series (or just with less cut) for the rest of us that would like to see them?

I think it would be funny if you named the different districts after different hermits. We could have “Grain” Acres or Void District

I dnt have a ps5 or decent enough PC for this, but it's the kind of game I'd lose hours of my life too, so it's very enjoyable watching you play this slowly and optimaly, you're doing great 👍 ❤

I just love those 90‘s references: I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her, I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat, And a six four Impala. Reminds me so much of that summer I spent in LA, when that song was a hit. Well done. Takk.

People are complaining about high taxes because you have such a high residential demand, so you should work on zoning out those, and the landlords will decrease taxes, making the people happy again! :)

Keralis, you should have mixed high rise buildings.European and North American as this adds more variation in the skyline and this will make it look better and will make it less repetitive.Great Video!

In the games current state of stability altering functions to maintain stability and quality is all fair in my books. With this being a recorded series i would say it is more important you do adjust it for our viewing experience than for the sack of features.
