For those who criticized the abrupt cuts in the sound know very little about sound dynamics. Because the closer or further we get to the car's engine, the sound will increase or decrease accordingly, so if there are image cuts, there should also be sound cuts. (for realism sake) You can even experience this phenomenon in real life when driving a car and suddenly go inside a tunnel or go past a solid concrete wall, you will notice an abrupt sound change. I know most of you know about this but it isn't reflected by some's comments. I myself bought a new scooter, and when I was going next to a wall the sound was getting louder, and I found it weird at first just because I wasn't used to it. So that sound cut just added to the realism. Now what I want to conclude with is that Andrey Lebrov is an incredibly skilled CG generalist, and his skills are not determined by more roughness on the road, nor more subdivision levels. this scene is in my opinion more about the elegance of the presentation than just pure realism. 3D animation is not necessarily meant just for pure realism, there is more to it, otherwise, he would just have picked up a drone at night and filmed the thing. I hope this helps some beginners out there.

I agree with you that sound behaves like you described it. However, personally, this is not what I had in mind when criticizing the abrupt sound cuts in this animation/video. The problem is that the acceleration and deceleration sounds don't make sense in the way they were cut here. For example, when the car accelerates and hits certain rpm, the next cut suddenly shows the car accelerating again from a little less rpm although the scene clearly is meant to show one fluid motion. The real E-tron has only 1 gear, so it couldn't be a shift there. Generally, I'm talking about what happens from 0:13 to the end of the animation. Even if this scene is about elegance, the unrealistic sound cuts don't really help it. Compare it to a commercial ad about a car and imo you will clearly see how they handle sound and cuts to create elegance.
What I’m sure of, is none of these negative commentators can manage to render something like this. & it’s not like he can’t add all those details and realism.
Amazing work Andrey! This is the a great depiction of photo realism. I strive to be at your level. Thanks for teaching thousands around the world!

RENDER REALLY REALISTIC
Andrey, you constantly inspire me! One day I hope to work with you on a project; peace and love
That Car looks absolutely spot on. And some other details like wheel spins, Head lamps & Tail lamps, some real-time reflections on car body paints & Audi logo, and some minor road bumps as the head lights pass through. These are the things that I love most. But still, there are some places that didn't added up really well. 1) That road looks clean. Even cleaner than new roads that we may have seen on real life. Seen those broken stone pieces and tiny imperfections of road lines and markings. And that's really nice for sure. But I'm saying about what a used up road would looks like. Such as tyre burn marks, some glittery sandy effects as the light pass though(not too much but little bit). And some path trials as the parts were wheels contacted mostly must be clean and smooth or slightly blackish. Other parts which are not used by the wheels may be dusty or like slight ash color. And some pot hole patches would have really added to that scene. 2) Street lamps looks gimmicky. And the lights from those Street lamps looks fake. 3) Rock and leaf color maps looks almost clean and flat. 4) Animation looks fake. Feels like moving at a steady speed. Not matching with the added engine or electric motor noise. These are the points that I felt like in my opinion. I may not be expert as you are. But, it's what I sees like.

@@Cineinsaner Octane is a render engine based on Graphics Card (GPU), it's a plug-in inside Cinema4D that you pay for 20usd/month. If you start, yes start with Blender, it's free and it's fantastic, the render engines are Eevee and Cycles. Eevee is real time and run on laptops, there is some limitations but great people make great pictures with it, check Ian Hubert on Twitter and KZread :) Cheers welcome in 3D dude :)

I usually like your content, but this animation feels a little weird. The camera movement/change of camera perspective is partially too abrupt, the tire movement looks unreal, in the close-up shot of the tire it looks like the textures have low quality (maybe too much motion blur or too dark?).. Also, the light coming from the car looks way to perfect/clean/sharp. The sound caused by the acceleration of the car has abrupt cuts. On the other hand, I do notice the cool details like debris on and bumps in the road which make the suspension of the car react accordingly. Also, the sound in itself has good quality and is interesting, for example at 0:16 the engine sounds really cool. All in all, I feel like a little tweaking could bring this animation to a new level. Maybe it's just me, but this is my opinion. I like your content and am happy to see new videos in the future. Peace

Amazing work. It looks perfect I would argue too perfect and clean. Especially the Road, Barriers. You put soo much work in the environment that is in the dark and basically no work on the parts that are on focus constantly. Road, Barriers, Lamps. Are too uniform. more dirt or the sides, more wavy barriers, more corrosion on the roadside. even adding a random difference in couple % in how much those lamps project light would sell the illusion more. Corrosion, the environment takes effect on things that exist in it. Still, your skills are crazy good.

Can you please go into details, though? I know some things are obviously improvable, but also a comment like this without any real feedback is just offensive and useless.
With all due respect, I think it coult be improved by making headlights a bit brighter, warmer color and without that sharp edge it has. And for me personally lighting looks kinda off I think i could be improved by making shadows darker or just bringing down environment light and if there is fog I think i would look A LOT realistic with some dust flying around or noisy, distorted fog. All the materials look perfect to me(I really like how the road looks). And I dont think that I am better, just saw some things that I think could be improved. :)
