The CANADIAN MILITARY Asked Me To Build A Knife
Ойын-сауық
The Military Police Fund for Blind Children is an organization composed of military members who raise money to improve the quality of life for children with eyesight impairment. Their biggest fundraising event of the year includes an auction, where this knife will be auctioned to provide funds for the program. This was an exciting build, and I am honored to have been asked.

You don't have to burn the threads at the end of your stitching. What I do is use a strong glue at the end and then bury it sideways into my base material. It leaves a cleaner finish.

Greetings to my Canadian brother. My Mother was born in Alberta, and all 3 Sisters. Grandfather was in Canadian Army during WW2. CANADA has a special place in my heart. Great work Brother!
You Have Honored Your Country With This Beautiful Knife and Case.
I hope that man is very successful with his work
I watch your channel for two reasons. One is because I thoroughly enjoy your knife restoration content and secondly is because I had a friend who passed away a couple years ago who was as from Newfoundland as he could be, and he was a good guy. The type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back and the food out of his fridge. Rest in peace, newfie Edgar McGrath.

Kyle my name is Bob Melvin from the U.S. I to was a Military Police Officer spent 23 Yrs in. Anyway I just watched your video on the knife for the blind raffle, just wanted to say you did an outstanding job. We’ll be in touch and keep up the great work.😏👍🇺🇸
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! From a Veteran: UK, Royal Green Jackets, (1970s) across the pond! You are already a great asset and advertisement for your Country. Well done and keep up the good work!
I love how casually he talks about joining up. The army rangers are no joke and he’s just like “I may try it out”

Truly a master of your craft.
Nice video - I'm sure whoever ended up with the winning bid will be very happy with it.
Dude, I absolutely love your videos!! They are so nice to watch and relax. The best part was, when you cut out your leather, not a word said and just the occasional breath of focus. I really like to see this little slower but real process.
WOW! Beautiful!

That is a dandy. Real nice work.
A very good job young man. Going for a very good cause ! G D Bless you !
A beautiful piece. 🇨🇦
Pure art. I'd be afraid to cut a string with that blade for fear of reducing its archeological value in a couple thousand years.
That is really a wonderful donation for a great cause. The boys have been doing this for literally decades and God knows how many kids they have helped. Truly a great job.

Wow!
Kyle as am MP myself. I appreciate the time that you put into this beautiful work of art. It came out great. Some of the accents that you used, the red stitching and liners. Were perfect because MPs wear scarlet berets as part of out daily uniform. Your choices were very on the nose, even without you being aware. You not being aware makes it even more awesome. I just wanted to let you know. Thank you again for using your expression of your skills to further a worthy cause.

Beautiful. And I appreciate that you added a sharpening choil
Bravo with class!👍
Thanks so much. You made my work much easier. Great video.
If you want to do it do it sooner rather than later. By the time I finally got around to applying for the Navy I was nearly 40 & got diagnosed with a heart condition that required a pacemaker. Do it while you're young & healthy. The longer you leave it the more chance of something popping up to stop you.
Awesome Commission For You, Kyle ; Served With The Canadian M.P. Division Years Back, Still Stay In Contact With My Bud's ! Wishing You Weill With The Auction Buddy ! Keep On Polishing ! Happy Labor Day, Friend ! ATB T God Bless

Gorgeous, especially the handle.
Wow - beautiful!
Nice work for a great cause. Hope it goes for a good price at auction
ROCKSTAR 🔪🇺🇸🔥💨
A comment if I may. When finishing off the stitches you knot then burn. I suggest back stitching then coming out the side. Not easy but very clean. Probably need a curved needle to do it. That is how I finish my stitching. On the knife inserting into the sheath. It goes in too far. Not an easy grasp to pull it out. Sheath needs to be cut away some more for the handle to be more exposed and easier to grab. It looks like you can only use your fingertips to pull it. In addition, it needs to be wet formed to custom fit to the knife, then it will be easier to insert/remove. Using 2 hands to remove the knife is not ideal.
I've worked in construction my whole life, and keep finding myself watching videos such as this, wishing I could own my own workshop and make tools from scratch. Where does one even find schooling to do this?
Respect! You are an artist!
You got skillz, Kyle 👍😊👍.
Wow!!!!! Navy would have been better but stunning knife. Fantastic job for a great cause.
