Damascus all you want, but I don't think you can beat that beautiful satin finish
Well, you definitely brought the "fantasy" to fantasy dagger challenge. That's a good thing. It was something I was worried about with my own viewer entry. Great job!
Wildly impractical but extravagantly beautiful, and fearful. 🌷
You should get a trophy for being the one that handsanded the most in this challenge!

That's for sure! It was almost 14 hours worth of hand sanding.
Oh boy this is scary! :') Insane and awesome build man. Huge like! People complain about having to match four bevels in dagger and you make one with eight! Ahah! Congrats, looks sick!

Cool thing about this kind of dagger is that it was a popular design in many native tribes in the Pacific Northwest.
The continuity of the checkering is very impressive. Impractical and dangerous but very cool!

Really like this "fantasy" dagger builds and that's a very cool one! This reminds of that cursed "backbiter" dagger in D&D that has a percentage chance of damaging the wielder (and it sticks permanently to your hand of course). You seem to have Darth Maul skill with it though! Either way it looks amazing - came out really well - and great video! 👍

A work of art my friend, I particularly like the "rough hewn" look with the additional ball and cross peening you worked into the knife. I have just one question, what was thw purpose of the fuller in the middle of the handle for? just some weight saving? or did you have another idea in mind that you decided not to do? Great work, I am seriously considering voting for your project, but I still have a few other daggers to watch and see how they work on them, but yours is definitely up there!
@theriversexperience9383

The fuller in the handle area was for weight saving. Also, I drilled through that section as well as fullered the scales. This creates an area where the epoxy can fill the cavity creating an amazing bond between the two scales. Thanks for watching!

Why did you make the blades different lengths?
@theriversexperience9383
2 жыл бұрын
That's for the forward weighted balance. I wanted it to move away from the body while swinging it. Less of a chance to stab yourself... for the most part 😅
A double edged sword with a handle in the middle? A traditional dagger is between 5 and 12 inches long. It would be hard to conceal your sword and use it as a dagger was designed for without slashing your own arms. Nice pattern and good luck.
Awesome, beautiful, u cheated! F#@k love it... but still feels like u cheated?
