The ricoh really is just the perfect camera for taking everywhere even if you aren't planning to shoot, it's actually annoying how useful it is

Dude! I sold my M10 and kept my M9. I love it so much It feels so different than my M10 ever did, I kept wanting to use it more and more it's nuts. I also picked up a Leica CF flash that's cheaper than a SF20, who new it gives the same output as the Leica SF 20 and lasts longer with AA Pro Enloops with TTL and Manual settings. I love that it has a K5900 output so it gives photos a slightly warmer vibe as well. Great seeing you put out more content.

Thats rad. Just looked it up and it doesn’t seem to have TTL? Not that I can really use it with any of my cameras with the exception of Q2M maybe.

@@FrankDavalos no, plain ole’ Leica CF. The flash was for the Leica Minilux Zoom when it came out. It seems it was just a simplified version of the SF20.

@@FrankDavalos I can’t say for sure it has TTL but I’ve been using it with my M9 on Auto 2 setting and it’s been good so far.

I really enjoyed this video. I've been on a similar Dad Cam™ journey, and over many years have collected an M10, M10M, M6, Q2, and GR III-so a very similar setup. I'm probably also going to end up with an MP instead of an M6, and with a Q2M instead of an M10M and Q2. The one difference is that I love shooting 28mm and 21mm on my M cameras. But the main thing is the photos. Your family pictures are really nice.

Great video- Don’t feel embarrassed by your Leica kit. It took me a long time as well for my 3 m bodies. With a 1 year old boy and another on the way- it’s the perfect lifestyle kit.

I’m not embarrassed at all about it, but I am just conscious that Leica cameras are polarizing because of the barrier of entry, and I was once the person who wasn’t able to get in. I appreciate your comments though my friend and thanks for promoting kindness in the comments! 🙏 appreciate you

Cool beans. I love my M4/M9 combo though, it took me decades to work up to Leica. Yes, not necessary but so enjoyable to shoot with...:)

I did a similar switch from Q2 mono to M11 mono 50 lux combo. I’m quite shocked you went back to Q2 mono from the m10 mono set up with all the lens you had. Out of curiosity was it the auto focus you yearned for or the 28 1.7 lens that brought you back?

I am just not a big fan of digital M's -- Every time I touch my MP, it reminds me of how much better the handling is than on digital M's. I also feel like there is something different with the Q2M files that I'm just more drawn too, and it undoubtedly includes the lens. As mentioned in the last vid, I don't love the 28mm experience on M bodies either... it's just a very classic case of "personal preference", no legitimate reason haha. I also was shocked to learn that the M10M didn't have highlight weighted metering mode, I love shooting Monochrom cameras using that mode.
