A tampered reamer on the spindle would fix your problem and have heavy duty ball joints too.

Hi Waylon. I ran into the same balljoint issue on a 65 C10. On the lowers I made a sleeve on the lathe with about .010" press and drunk fit them right on the balljoint, then the sleeve pressed into the A arm. Worked good. Just a thought for the future. Thank you for all the great content! 👍

Rat rodding is the best thing that has happened to hot rodding in many years. Hot rods became routinely boring in my opinion with their perfect tin and perfect paint jobs. Yours are perfect examples of the creativity and individualism that returned to hot rodding with rat rodding.

I Enjoy watching your victories and defeats as I am sure most of your watchers, like me, have been through the same dilemmas. Buying any type of replacement auto parts online is like a game show. Not everyone can be a winner. But even at your local parts store if the editors didn't catch the mistake before it is part of the parts lookup software that is common to many companies. many people will get wrong parts. When we used catalogs, the first guy to face an angry customer wrote in the margin to warn the other employees (usually) *cannot do that now Tsk, progress Moral: if you buy a front suspension rebuild kit, check to see if the pre-installed ball joint shafts fit into your spindle/knuckle.If it includes other suspension parts-check them too. Ken is such a mild-mannered man- if you turn wrenches and this (bs) happens you know the profanity that's part of the Grease & Grime, you betcha Correct Parts! Maybe! Maybe Not! Success=Equal parts dedication inspiration motivation determination and perspiration VERY informative show,Ken.

Thank you for the post there , Waylon ! Seems nowadays , even when they have all of the right information , someone isn't paying enough attention . Maybe use the heavier spindles , or ream the taper holes to the size of new ball joints . Always something . It sure does look a lot better . You will get it , you always do . Enjoy your trip , Ken ! I appreciate ya , & remember , it's not the quantity of the progress , it's the quality of the content . Yours is top shelf , Ken . God bless , & enjoy the ride my friend .
