My Halcyon 250 (magic) has been a joy to ride, own and maintain. With nearly 20K miles on the odometer the engine runs as good as ever. It is the perfect 2-lane road motorcycle. Not mentioned in this video is the efficiency of this engine. It gets 65mpg. on average. Beyond the reliable engine and classic lines of its design, the Halcyon 250 is truly thrilling to ride. It provides the rider with an absolutely classic motorcycling experience in which the rider feels connected with the machine.

my 250 (jm-224) is a hoot to ride and easy to maintain.

They are a great bike to own!

The simpler the better. My bike has very little that can go wrong with it and nothing that cannot be fixed by the roadside. One of the reasons I bought it.

This is too cool, I gotta get one of these to take out on adventures one day…

in the 1200-1300 250s we've built and shipped, honestly, a miniscule amount. They're simple to service when they need 'em! We'd be long gone if our little 250 engine didn't keep ticking away like it did... it's low-tech, easy to maintain, and hard to hurt.

I am only at 5,000 miles, but so far the engine has been reliable and easy to maintain, with full help and disclosure by Janus for any questions--and I have asked my share!

A guy just brought a one of your bikes. Zero miles on it and it won't start. Any suggestions? The bike # is 744. Thanks The gas is on, the choke is in the down position. He's thinking that it doesn't have enough oil in it.

get a hold of our service dept! give us a call. Choke down means that the choke is off. For cold starting, it should be all the way up.
