That C-shaped section that sweeps around from the floor to the roof is a master stroke, and the front end is so much better conceived than the Veyron’s. Doug isn't very knowledgeable when it comes to technical specs on cars. He has never worked on a car in his life, so if you want an idea of what goes into the "Super Sport" variation of Bugatti's cars, I highly recommend watching Jason Cammisa's video on the "Second" Veyron on the Hagerty KZread channel. He explains the immense amount of engineering effort that goes into these power boosts, and improved levels of handling. When you're talking about performance at this level, there is exponentially more effort necessary for such gains compared to something like a simple ECU flash in a standard car to give it an extra 50-100hp.

Also I’m just finishing up the video and you said “And the car is just usable, it just feels like you can drive it like a normal vehicle if you want to”. That’s awesome! 😁 But we mustn’t forget, this is a four million dollar car out of the factory gate so you are exactly right Doug, they gave it all to you beautifully, but with the very formal agreement that it would cost you dearly (unless the car is an investment and you have the longevity to wait for it to mature). You may have mentioned that you can have all of the opulence and or just plain functionality while maintaining hyper car performance and that is a fact, but of course at the price of physics, and therefor your pocketbook as well. It’s very heavy and perfectly adorned …but it’s offset by nine bazillion horsepower that is also beautifully controlled through a century of engineering from companies that peg both sides of the gauge for bespoke super car, and rigorously tested , mass produced daily driver’s. It’s really a bit of a masterpiece vehicle, but in some weird way, the fact that it has all of the same basic things as my 325ci feels just a little sideways. It seems like if you are of the type of human that can, in earnest purchase such a vehicle you should also get the excitement one gets with the reliability of a Lotus esprit or the calming dopamine rush that one feels from the basic impossibility of actually driving a Countach of any ilk on busy city streets as your badge of honor. 😁
