Love the stray cats since 1980. Brian Setzer a nice down to earth guy. Glad he's still doing strong in being a performer. He's a legend in his own rights. Go go Brian still love stray cats.

I saw Brian Setzer Orchestra in Pori Jazz Finland in 1997. No gig before or since has topped that. It was like watching a hurricane.

"He soon fell for Swing" . The reason is simple. He saw, heard, and met Royal Crown Review who are the originators of the Swing Revival! THAT'S what happened!

Brilliant guy. I'd think more people would have tried creative stuff in the ultra-boring grunge era.

It wasn't a boring eta trust me I was in high school and it was super wild...there were plenty of weird creative bands at the time like WEEN,butthole surfers, flaming lips,Mercury Rev....and yes we also had the swing stuff....the issue was that most kids were using LSD at the time so beer drinking music wasn't the focal point...smashing pumpkins was the big band of 94 for hip high school kids

Actually there was an Electric Guitar band leader in the 1930s-40s named Alvino Rey. He played Steel Guitar and the band was more of a "Sweet" band.

As good as it may be I still like rock and roll simplicity of the three piece band you can actually hear the music , This orchestra too damn overdone
