I think that's essentially the "green flu" in Left 4 Dead. The infected don't eat, sleep or drink; they just beat you to death and move on to the next victim.

As someone from Louisiana, I can confirm it is 1000% possible the temperature could’ve jumped from 20 to 80 in a single day

This movie was filmed in my tiny hometown of Port Glasgow in Scotland and was a major deal for us. Also I can confirm that the high school was just as empty of students in real life as in the movie...

Also in the UK, speaking as a native of Northamptonshire, snow can absolutely disappear in minutes based on just rainfall alone, let alone salt & sun removing it. Leaving behind just depressing slushy mess & enough black ice to kill grandma.

Fun fact, my great grandfather was able to avoid the draft because when they discovered he'd had spanish flu and lived, he was placed in a hospital to help doctors treat patients. Who knows, i might have never been born and able to listen to Roanoke talk about the Spanish flu in a zombie musical

By far my worst Christmas as well, I can't do it, but certainly this one is a prime candidate for ending my O2 subscription willingly. All the pieces are there. Honestly, sometimes I wish I could, but afaic it is THE worst thing anyone can do on a spiritual level. I just pray things get better.

Same here. NOT making this a pissing contest, but, my younger brother wrecked my car that I had to take the blame for to protect him due to him not having insurance, I got laid off from a damn good job due to a lack of work and because I was a new-ish guy, got a rental car which almost broke me all over again to keep my last job and then my last job also laid me off coincidentally even though I was informed I was a good worker, lost the rental car because I didn't have enough money to keep it nor the time to save up for a new ride whilst also paying bills, and now my once understanding landlord is up my ass threatening to kick me out even though I have/had NEVER done him dirty or shorted him (I get it they need their rent but damn!) and am still struggling to get everything together. Again not trying to sound self-absorbed just my side of the story per se. To all who read this, especially Roanoke because he's the reason we're all here, even if I fail I TRULY HOPE you all whom have had it rough, to be very blunt, get everything worked out and have happiness and joy return to your lives. From the bottom of my heart I promise you that mean every single word that I say.

Yeah I’m not feeling super festive this year. Long story short this will be our first Christmas without dad or my grandparents. He was here last year even though he was still weak from the chemo. He eas building up an infection there and the hospital was basically just like…hitting him with enough antibiotics to get the symptoms resolved and sending him home. Our family physician wants to…have a chat…with those folks. But honestly I’m just like…exhausted.

My honest and sincere condolences. I also recently lost a loved one before the holidays whom had passed away saving 2 childrens lives from drowning. If my small words mean anything, we're all family here thanks to Roanoke and I hope all that are/have been struggling get everything back together and or have true happiness come back into their lives.

As someone from the UK, I can assure you that December snow anytime near Christmas is exceedingly rare, settling snow rarer still, and snow that lasts more than a few hours is the rarest of all. The only thing unusual about this snow disappearing is that it did not turn black with muck first. I hope your Christmas had redeeming moments.
