How Did The Infected REMEMBER EVERTHING WHILE ZOMBIES?

Фильм және анимация

As an outbreak of a virus known as the Maze Virus would ransack Europe, Ireland would be hit the hardest. Much to the excitement of the scientific community at large, a cure would be discovered allowing for the infected to be broken from their state of psychosis, and reintegrate back into society. However, once cured it became apparent that those who were infected, could actually remember everything they did. Struggling with this knowledge and the fact that society hates the, they would have to navigate a rather hostile world. But the question is, how did their brains operate during this time frame? lets discuss that in todays episode!

This movie really tackles the question I don't think any other zombie media does: should the zombies be cured? It would be incredibly traumatic, knowing that you essentially ate people, some of whom you actually knew and cared about. You would go the rest of your life being crushed by your guilt and remorse, and I don't entirely think that uninfected survivors would give you much grief. I think that most people would actually be very sympathetic to you, but nothing in the world will treat the pain of knowing what you know. Definitely an Amy/10, would not recommend.

I don’t believe you’d be able to cure _anything_ if they’d already been forcibly unsubscribed from life. Not without bringing them back to life and that’s an entirely different can of worms that if humanity (#1 baby) has that ability there probably wouldn’t be a plague of undeath to begin with. Would be an interesting idea though: humanity figures out how to live forever but their body basically just wears out to the point where they really might as well be dead (and I don’t mean of old age, I mean some sort of tech where you could get crushed by a car and still live, and easily, even if their body is broken). Morality says you’d probably be more kind to put them down.

Regarding PTSD and memory formation, i was taught PTSD is caused by the amygdala being active during a traumatic event, and this causes the memory to be recorded and stored differently than normal memories. Normal memories are stored on your main "hard drive", the memories there are accessible to you, so you can recall them as well as choose how much you want to dwell on them. PTSD memories seem to be stored differently, and instead of only coming up when you choose, you suffer flashbacks where the memory pops up when you dont want it, and yiu you also have no ability to tune down how much it impacts your mood. It is believed that all your normal memories create a continuous life experience, where your good experiences and bad experiences are integrated, so you have a more balanced view of life and of yourself. This means that good life experiences can balance out bad life experiences, like a healthy body able to heal a wound. But when a bad experience is stored separately and inaccessible, your good life experiences cannot help negate or heal them. This is the belief behind EMDR treatment, which is a type of therapy that specifically treats PTSD. The mechanism is not always explained to the clients, but this is how it works--its a way to safely retrieve a bad memory, in a way that does not cause the flooding of emotions, and thus the memory can be reprocessed and saved into normal memory. This is why it works, it helps the person move the memory file into their main "hard drive", and the assumption is that the person will have enough good life experiences that this will automatically take care of itself. This is why EMDR works better for people with relatively low trauma, and the more trauma a person has, the slower it will be. But still, EMDR works faster than talk therapy.

I lost everything, didnt eat because i thought it was poison, didnt have a home because there was no way i could have worked, it was like living in a real life nightmare and i dont mean that metaphorically. I wish more people understood how psychosis worked, alot of people would be able to be pulled out of it if people knew early enough what they or their loved ones were dealing with. Thankfully i am well now and those symptoms all went into remission but that was after 4 months in hospital and 2 years on medication. I've noticed this too unfortunately. I believe it has something to do with most of the directors not taking the effects of SA seriously so it's able to be used as a plot device instead of being viewed as a horrific life-changing event(s) that never leaves your mind. Part of it is also because I think they may want to highlight that the evil sides of humanity can come out in extreme situations, but it's rarely portrayed properly and more used as a temporary shock to the audience. I can't tell people what to do with their art, of course, but as someone who's lived through repeated SA I always find myself wondering what directors would say if a real victim asked them why they felt the need to use it in their movies. I doubt most of them have thought out more of a justification than "It moved the story along", but that is technically enough of an answer and I'd have to accept it.

The anglerfish species have more than 200 subspecies, and the majority of them live in the depths of the Antarctic and Atlantic oceans. They usually stay almost a mile below the surface, but some are known to habituate the more shallow, warmer environments. Believe it or not, the shape of their bodies largely depends on where they can be found. We describe the anglerfish that live near the surface as being pelagic, while those that dwell close to the seafloor are benthic. The pelagic forms of anglerfish are laterally compressed, meaning they are wider on the sides. On the other hand, the benthic forms are dorsoventrally compressed, meaning their backs and lower parts of their bodies grow longer, and they often have mouths that point upwards.

I can definitely say something about the "icky sticky", as it were... and the fact that my father was a paranoid schizophrenic. Smoking the Mary has always been unpleasant for me. You know the feeling of resistance when you put two positive sides of magnets together? It felt like that was going on between the left and right hemispheres of my brain. I could superimpose things that I've dreamed onto reality. I'm walking down my block, and it's the looks the same as it always has, but it also looks like something I've dreamed about, and constantly changing from one dream to another. But then it also feels like I'm being suffocated inside my own skull. After smoking some, it could take days for the feeling to completely dissipate, and I would have nightmares that I'm grateful I can't entirely remember. I'll never smoke weed again, or ever do any other kind of mind-altering substance.

@@IW3527heres the thing It's the same problem with opioids Sure both weed and opioids have "medicinal properties " but synthesizing medicine and drawing out chemicals from plants are 2 entirely different things Medicine is made with the intent to heal or manage illness or injury and thus that's what the goal is But recreational drugs arent medicine because they are simply drawing out the chemicals and making them more potent ,to provide a high So the health factor is in no way involved That's what is so irritating to me about people claiming "weed is medicinal" ,no its not, it's a drug made solely to get a trip Not to heal or aid in health, whatever VERY mild health benefit it gives is both a coincidental and massively overshadowed by the damage it does TLDR recreational drugs arent medicine ,they are made to "have fun" and not to heal, the damage they do is far worse then any temporary high and longer lasting

Does anyone remember the name of the zombie apocalypse short film where the zombies are all gone, but people till avoid each other? In the film, it turns out that people who are infected show the classic symptoms of ye old super-rabies: aphasia, psychosis, enhanced fear responses, and a desire to attack and possibly consume people who aren't showing symptoms. The difference lies in the long-term fate of the infected. Left alone, the infected will completely recover and regain their pre-infection senses after several days. It turns out that the only survivors are those who recovered from the infection. While they don't have any clear memories of what happened while they were symptomatic, they are still deeply traumatized by what their infected selves did to those they were close too when the symptoms took over. This is why the survivors mostly don't group together, they all feel immense guilt for the pain and horror they caused.

Hello, I'm a neuroscientist who works in an immunology lab that does HIV cure research using CRISPR to excise viral RNA from the human genome. I know its not really relevant to this video in particular, but I know a major point you mention in many of your videos is the need to progress faster in terms of our ability to use CRISPR. To provide an update; about a year ago, we started human trials with our first iteration of a CRISPR based HIV cure, and we are also currently running another study in macaques using different gRNAs. In terms of initiating neurogenesis in humans in cells that are post-mitotic, you are essentially asking for a brain tumor at that point. It would be necessary then to also upregulate some natural cell death pathway proteins, such as P53, to help mitigate the risk of malignant tumor development. Since we'd have to use CRISPR or perhaps an RNA anomer anyway to coax the cells into becoming mitotic again, it wouldn't be that big of a deal to simply introduce another AAV plasmid designed to upregulate anti-cancer genes.

While there are positives and can be used to medicate certain issues, it can also trigger bad things like paranoia and, as mentioned in the video, schizophrenia. There are also cases of people being allergic to it, and of course it will still cause some damage if smoked because you’re still inhaling a foreign substance. It’s not going to cause cancer like tobacco will, but still. So enjoy if you want, but enjoy with caution!
