The HUMAN CONSUMING CRITTERS SPECIES Evolutionary Biology Explained

Фильм және анимация

What is out there in the universe? Are we alone or is there a moon sized eldritch horror coming towards us at any moment to consume us? Or could it be something as simple as a feral furbie touching down on our planet? The reality is, we dont know. As a species we have looked to the stars but have seen very little to clear cut indicate that we are not alone. In the 80s however, this question would be answered. A species would escape a galactic prison and crash land on Earth. Being more fit to our environment, this would kick off a sequence of events that would lead to a small town in Kansas being attacked as well as a one family in particular. But how did this species become what they were and what were their evolutionary origins? Lets discuss that in todays episode over Critters!
Thank you for watching Roanoke Gaming and I hope you enjoy The HUMAN CONSUMING Critters Species Evolutionary Biology Explained

    You know what I like most about Critters, as a species? Over four movies (that I have seen) they never stop being scary. No matter how silly they act they never stop being dangerous. You never get the feeling in later movies that a regular person would be able to take them on, like with some other monsters.

    True. They are intelligent, predatory, aggressive, and know how to leverage all of that. So the hijinks just makes them scarier. You know this thing is sentient and sapient, and it chooses to see you as cattle

    Gremlins. While not predatory per se, they would totally outbreed the critters, and probably find all kinds of sadistic ways to kill em. Something I've always wondered about gremlins: would other water based liquids have the same effect? Blood? And why didn't snow make em multiply?

  • @kaysmith8992

    @kaysmith8992

    3 ай бұрын

    @blackc1479 maybe their skin senses that snow means a harder environment for their 'children' to grow, so not the right time to reproduce. Re. Critters vs Gremlins, one thing the Critters really have up their sleeve is speed and the ability to grow huge (in Critters 1 only). I'm not saying they would actually beat the Gremlins, but they would keep the battle going for some time.

    KZread needs to support content like this. It's fully covered under fair use! If KZread was smart they would realize if they supported this type of content, they could be unstoppable & no other platform could even come close to competing with them. Yet they continue to make ridiculous requirements, being up tight if difficult topics get covered, even when it's informative content & follows guidelines. This content should be supported. Fair use covers a lot of quality made content. They run things like they expect everything to be kids content. Even tho they have a separate app for KZread kids. I don't understand how KZread doesn't see the huge fan base around content for grown ups. If they supported things a bit better, they would have so much more success. Hopefully they wake up to this someday.

    Wow, this movie takes me back. I was 10 when this film came out, though, I first saw it on video, way back when video stores first started becoming a thing. I absolutely love this film, though haven't seen it in about 20 years. Thanks for doing a video on the critter species, it is highly enjoyable!

    It's really interesting to see someone's take on the xenobiology aspect of movie monsters like this! Also *fist bump* for the subtle TF2 background music. It's a small detail, but massively appreciate, lol

    This is one of my favourite insane 80's scifi-horror-comedy whatevers. I first saw it when I was about 8 or 9 when my parents were away for the night and I wasn't supposed to watch TV. I loved it, my sister who's 4 years younger, didn't... I actually preferred these movies over Gremlins when I was a kid. Thank you for the nice nostalgia trip 😍

    This was such a cool movie! We would discuss it in class and imagine alternate scenarios. I recall seeing the poster at the video store. I always thought it was so scary. One thing I think you left out was the tag line, "They eat so fast, you don't have time to scream!".

    Love Critters, 2 was good and I enjoyed 3 and 4. I say ignore the recent movie and mini series. The reason the Galactic Council deemed them a plague, cause they just eat everything and move on to the next planet. One of the wild things about the Critters is how they reproduce. They lay a number of something like 3 to 8 eggs, and depending the environment they can hatch fast. Like they were stuck in that cold ass barn for years, and shortly after being near a heater or whatever is warm enough and hatches almost immediately. I was kinda hoping for more of a breakdown on the Critters but still good stuff.
