Fun fact the reason Homelander kept failing to shoot Hughie with his laser eyes is because galvanized steel is what most ducting is made of, it’s basically zinc coated steel and what's the one thing Homelander cant see through? Zinc.

I wonder how much Starlight can effect Homelander’s eyes since the spotlight was able to blind him enough to slice the ice skater.

I came here from your Talladega Nights reaction. I noticed you left the Highlander (1986) jokes out. If you've never seen it, i highly recommend it. You will absolutely love Clancy Brown's portrayal Kurgan. Easily one of the greatest movie villians of all time. And he didnt get paid to be the main antagonist in the movie. He did it because he was looking for a break into Hollywood, and because Sean Connery also stars in the film. I should have a decent idea of your preferences in villianous characters, ive been watching your reactions since about the 4th season of GoT. There should've been only one! If you know, you know.

to me the mom's explanation was the realest shit to me. depression is a killer, your brain is straight up imbalanced and irregular

Honestly I think the mom's story would be more sympathetic if they bothered to explain post-partum depression and they kinda glossed over the dad not letting her contact him WAY too fast. If she was in rehab and on suicide watch that makes total sense why you would need to leave and neither of them explaining this is imo the worst aspect, but surprisingly the show pulled the punches there instead of showing in horrific detail like it does everything else so it seems like an underwhelming answer. I do think its fucked up the dad didn't explain this by adulthood and let him think she left for no reason, thats almost as bad. Imagine just letting this kid think about that their whole life lmao

I don't think the mom is supposed to be sympathetic. You can notice little hints, like she left when he was 6 and he never saw her until now? And she LEFT left and not like "left for therapy"? She paints an emotional and sympathetic picture, but underneath it you see a parent who ditched their kid and a partner who ditched her husband. Without even saying a word, not just like getting a regular divorce or something.

@@DanteRU0312 yeah true, I mean it sounds like she did say a word to the dad but neither of them said shit to the son even as an adult 💀💀💀 (although all the missed calls means the dad was probably coming around to it)

The reveal about Starlight's past was weird to me because there were no mentions or signs in previous seasons that she was a bully during her childhood. Not even an inkling that she was capable of behaving that way.

Not loving quite a few of them actually. That one, Frenchie/Colin, Kimiko &... w/e tf that is. But the mom is the only one that makes me legitimately annoyed.
