Sage out here like "Chaos isn't a pit, chaos is a ladder"
Jimmy Ik ur gonna see it soon if you haven’t already but S4 E4 of the boys is one of the absolute best Homelander episodes ever. Definitely the best episode so far this season
Homeboy as a hero name is hilarious 😂
"Jimmy.....come back to the Suburbs with me 😢" 😅😅😂 And man,Homelander is the king of Petty evils. He ruined his son's first Save and then took his Milkshake away
Ryan's puberty voice is wild.
Amazon was smart to drop the first three episodes at once. They benefit from a binge watch.
Will ferrel playing clancy brown was funny af.
I would love to know the conversation between Eric Kripke and Rob Benedict on doing the human centipede scene.
i mostly think what feels off is that there is no clearly defined plan. we have a vague sense of the main goal, which is to kill victoria, but things seem a little directionless. it doesnt feel like we're moving anywhere. just a collection of things happening. those things are entertaining to varying degrees, but we dont have a good sense of why anyone is doing anything. theres just a general vague sense of "kill newman and get ryan away from homelander." everything else is just kinda...happening. there isnt enough forward momentum they need to either put a more specific timetable in play, and clarify how much of that time is passing, or they need to stop having half the characters off doing other shit unrelated to the main goal
The show trying to make us feel sympathy for a dead beat mother who left her son and husband behind for 20 years with 0 care is INSANE.😂 F her
I agree with the comments about the season being off and Homelander being (as always) the best part. Honestly, I was already feeling the show a little off last season... Not really feeling the script.
i fw your reactions, idk if you know this but the new season of mayor of kingstown is releasing episodes, i think three are out right now! would love to see you continue that show
I feel you on there being something a bit off this season. I think it has something to do with Butcher not being in charge. Homelander is being Homelander, but Butcher is being very not Butcher. He's way out of character. Mother's Milk seems a bit out of character also. Frenchie is being himself, but this storyline for him doesn't seem earned because we don't know the person he's with and we still barely know Frenchie as more than a sidekick of Butcher. So, it's hard to care about him and his crisis of conscience. Shock value is still present, but there are a lot of storylines not evoking the type of concern or care that they normally do. The Boys is definitely still great there's just something a little off.
I think this season is fine. Maybe what's "off" is that everyone seems out of position. Like, Butcher isn't in charge and everyone hates him, Annie and Huey are settled into a relationship, Frenchy is involved with this dude out of guilt or some shit, Kamiko is going to therapy, Homelander is in charge at Vought, the mystery of Butcher's wife is resolved, Huey's dad is in the hospital, MM is running the boys...it's just, IDK, unsettling somehow. Firecracker (I think that's her name,) is hilarious with her casual racism and ignorance, and Sage is frankly terrifying. Part of me thinks she's maneuvering to get rid of Homelander and replace him with Ryan. Also, I watched episode 4 last night and...no spoilers...I'm deeply fucking disturbed. Like some of what went down bothered me to the point where I had a hard time sleeping. I don't think I'll ever look at Carvel ice cream cakes without thinking about that shit. You'll see what I mean when you watch the episode. The people who are bothered by the "politics" need to go touch grass or change the channel and watch Duck Dynasty or something.
To be fair, Firecracker went toe to toe with Kimiko (albeit a drunk Kimiko). Most don't survive those encounters.
anthony starr is carrying this show on his back at this point. it's not like the writing was ever particularly subtle but they're wielding the satire like a sledgehammer this season.

Awesome reaction of my favorite The Boys episode!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Episodes 1-3 were alright, if a bit overwhelming. Episode 4 was really good though.
I don’t get the Frenchie criticism folks. He seems most in-character out of everyone this season. He a messy pansexual freak assassin with a drug problem, I mean come on. Some of the writing does seems a bit off to me though. Like everyone pulled a plot line out of a hat for themselves and then they stitched the main plot around those as best they could. I absolutely love the Sage stuff.

The thing that bothers me is that they spend 3 seasons building his relationship with Kimiko, and now suddenly we are supposed to care about this Colin guy? Like why didn't we get to see Frenchie develop feelings for Colin in the last season? We don't even know a single personality trait about Colin, he doesn't feel like a real character. This was clearly a change ham-fisted into the story with no planning because they weren't meeting the gay quota. It's the exact kind of corporate pandering that this show mocks when it's being self-aware.

@@iminumst7827 in what incel brain rot world were they building up a romantic relationship between Kimiko and Frenchie? They teased attraction a little, but made it very clear it wasn’t going there. They were clearly building a friendship. Also French has been bi since season one. He’s a freaky slutty bi addict with boundary issues. So him getting into a messy spot with one of his victims seems EXACTLY what he would do.
For as many issues as I have with the first three Eps of Season 4, Sage is a great addition to the show. I also really like what they've done with A-Train and Firecracker's anti-Starlight agenda, but I won't elaborate on the latter. You'll see.
I can somewhat understand the hate s04 is getting, it's a step down from the near perfection of s03 (at least so far), but people are always too quick to jump on the hate train. This show has earned the benefit of the doubt (and as I write this, episode 4 is feeling like a return to form). Excited to see the rest of the season.
Only thing about this episode that threw me off was how a black guy, an INCREDIBLY french guy and an east asian woman walked into that far right convention unchecked LMAOO. I was at least expecting dirty looks from the bystanders
Uncircumcised and definitely not kosher...😮
anyone complaining about this show one of the best series ever out there doesnt deserve good tv ..yeah its hard to live up to all the other great amazing seasons like they all cant be super bangers but the show is still fucking good like seriously people are fucking spoiled
