I don't have remotely close of an IQ that Sage have but...I would find it fishy that Tek Knight "accidently" died that night with The Boys there and after donating a shet ton of money to organizations that he dislikes. Considering Vought has close eyes on the activities their core members do. This is why I hate putting a "smartest person" character in any shows/moves, coz they are only as smart as the writers.

Watched the episode this morning, found out my mate at work is watching it with his dad tonight. Patiently awaiting the debrief 😂 Edit: I did not anticipate the excitement for this 🤣 I've been reliably informed that his dad's first reaction was to tell my mate to stay away from his bookshelf 😂 They got through the dungeon scenes okay, a few dad jokes about how Tekk knight needed to update his set up, they were totally blown away by the twist about Jeffrey Dean Morgan.....but they completely broke because his dad had just finished his white coffee when the milk cannons squirted 🤣 Hope that was worth the wait boys 😂

The whole scene with Homelander floundering with the billionaires was fantastic. It’s a good counter argument to the “burn it all down” crowd in real life. Sometimes burning it all down and seizing absolute power actually makes things worse. A lot of bureaucracy exists for good reason (even if some are a nuisance). And even if people are amenable to the idea, they’re still cautious due to unforeseen outcomes.

I think the scene where a train dropped mm at the hospital also shows how much a train wants that someone or his family to see him as an actual hero. Becuase the entire time a train was waiting for the kid to react, I just keep thiking the kid is a witness and could be how they find out that a train is the leak, because he saved mm.

The dungeon section was to long in my opinion. It needed to be cut down a little bit. I didn’t watch it. I just listened to. But felt too long . And a lot of times., The boys doesn’t throw to much gross stuff, every episode. Sometimes it doesn’t show it. But here we had multiple gross things going on. And even had a gross ending. Both that were completely shown. I’m not saying the boys is never gross. But it’s never raised to the point, where you don’t want to watch. This episode was. Ultimately cool with this episode. It just made me feel uncomfortable. Because of her over the top it was. And sometimes it’s just said not shown. To spare you. Maybe it’s just me though. I’ve always been OK with violent death. But I’ve never been good with gross out humor. It makes me feel very uncomfortable for some reason. I don’t really find it funny at all. So maybe it’s just me. I can deal with homelander being evil.. I can deal with violent death. But I can’t deal with gross out humor. It bothers me.

I really wanted this show to go on for more then 5 season, and im super die hard fan, but looking at these recent episodes, even i got to admit that im glad they are going to end it on season 5.

I'll be honest.. Poor Anthony Starr... He kills it as homelander but gods... some of the things he does.

I only watch two review channels when it comes to certain shows, and the Boys is one of those shows I watch reviews from you and Paul of Heavy Spoilers, and I must say, your theories are consistently accurate. You guessed that Kessler was a figment of Butcher's imagination from the moment he appeared. So the one about getting homelander through milk is a great one. We just have to see if there is a workaround to get that virus to not be airborne.

Love your breakdowns and I’m also really enjoying the info about the Toronto shooting locations!

Soldier boy does come back, but only for a short scene where homelander stares down at his pod as he is frozen in there. Homelander is at his pod meanwhile freeing frozen supes to recruit for his supe army

I think the detail when Homelander is going over his plans like a movie villain. Then everyone in the room asks about the small details. He had no idea. Same when he took over Vought and people would ask him questions. He had no idea. Like you know you can say you want to be president but it’s more than just speeches and rally’s.

i think the entire episode hammers home the idea how far away and detached Billionaires are from the average person. From joking about ancestral fortune being built on Slave Hunting to a black guy, to explaining how the female body works during rape to a woman. They think themselves as gods and believe that they should have the final say in what happens within the country. The Hughie scene just follows the same thread of thought of how absolute mercy we are at of these corporations and how little they care about who they hurt to "Get their fix" The fact that the whole thing traumatizes Hughie so much they added the part about him not being able to process what happened drills in the point that its not for shits and giggles.

Frenchie is in prison. We just found out the elite are using prisons as internment camps. The two things are very related. In the short run, I agree with you. I missed Frenchie this episode and havent been a fan of his arc this season.... but in the long run, they are clearly setting him up for something.

I find it hard to believe that this was only the second penultimate episode of the season, as it feels like we still got a long way to go before we reach the season finale. The one upside of this episode though, was getting to watch Nathan Michelle without the mask. I had seen pictures of him on the internet, but he doesn’t appear to have any well known acting credits.

@@filmbrat1 Yep, Season one slowly had the Boys discover Compound V and what it does. Season two was them trying to survive while they were in the run, while simultaneously trying to separate Becca and Ryan from Homelander. Season three in my opinion had the best senses of direction because it finally was focusing on the main conflict of the ENTIRE show: Homelander being eliminated. (I always felt that the comic book didn’t even try; he was cocky up until the last few moments of his life, right before the HAX was pulled out: a more powerful clone.

I’m also very curious about the level of control MM actually had when he shot Sage. Did he know about her brain regeneration powers and choose to shoot her there knowing such, or did he completely lose control all together and it’s just natural that shooters aim for the head?
