    Soldier is a bad guy but he is so well written and charming. Hes definitely the most noncartoonish realistic portrayal of a corrupt man in power in the series. He’s broken but he’s got a code of ethics. He’s a killer but by neglect and accident rather by maliciousness. He’s a bully and abusive but he’s open to sharing his trauma and even a pretty competent fighter.

    pretty competent? he squared up with Butch, Starlight, and Homelander, three of the most powerful fighters on earth, and only lost when Hughie powered up starlight, plus MM and Maeve joining in, and even then it was close

    Soldier Boy, kinda reminds me of the comedian from watchmen. Because there’s a series called before watchmen, where they tell of his early years in Vietnam. He was strictly there to be a poster boy, but instead took his own initiative to fight in the war, and he did very horrible things. I like to think that soldier Boy did something like that but did even worse things (and mainly on American soil). He became such a liability to Vaught with all the coverups and propaganda, Causing them to change the face of the company with a new specimen.

    I just love how the fans totally embraced him, just like Homelander despite the creators itinually wanting to make them unlikeable characters based off "anit-woke" stereotypes, like Homelander was supposed tobe based on Trump.Guess the fan dont give a fly fu and think theyre badazz in spite of the show runner trying to create toxic tension amongs fans with his political agenda.

    Have you noticed that they are harder on the right side of the political spectrum than they are on the left. The boys will go full ham on conservative politics, but when it comes to liberal politics, they do a light hit, a love tap.

    Homelander is possibly the least badass in the entire show. Soldier boy is a bad person but at least hes charming and has cool characteristics, Homelander on the other hand cries in the mirror because he’s so desperate for the attention and love of people he claims are less than him. Thats the reason people like Solider boy, he doesn’t care what people think and kinda does his own thing, but Homelander is like a little kid who never stopped being one even though he’s a middle aged man

  • @MusicLover-my6fo
    @MusicLover-my6fo9 сағат бұрын

    This is an example of the live action version being way better than the source material. I don't think Solider Boy would've worked if he was always super cowardly. Instead, he's a more "realistic" exacerbated parody of Captain America that behaves more like a traditional solider. The funny thing is that it still works as a proper deconstruction.

    I wish I did KZread. There one plot hole in gen v that ruins the timeline… so the boys so far has all happened within 3-4 years. Gen v is set a few months after the boys season 3. Well in gen v there is a character called maverick. Which is translucents son. In season 1 the boys maverick was 10 when his dad died. Well how is he in college at the age of 14. Time line plot hole

    i’m confused you solved your own plot hole, if he was 10 in season 1, gen v is set after season 3 which is 3-4 years in the timeline like you said, then 10+4 is 14. Meaning it’s been 4 years in the timeline

    Todays detached movies: 99% of male characters were born to crazy bad abusive homes and parents, %1 weren't but they turned into psychos. Reality: 80%+ were born into pretty good, loving caring homes. 15% of those were unbelievably good, 20% had some sort of broken home. But even most of those weren't remotely as bad as what you'd see on TV.
