It's crazy that a company can just... lose a bag with 50k worth of equipment and that's that.

I'm not sure how it works with European companies but if this were the US you absolutely could take them to court for something that expensive, and considering how many people were affected it could potentially be a class action lawsuit. Knowing the boys though it probably wouldn't be worth the time or the money to lawyer up and fight Aer Lingus over this since they probably have lawyers on retainer.

The lawyers would cost more than the bag itself. Plus all the time they lose when they could be making more content and more money.
I hope they are suing because it's ridiculous that that happened, it would be like buying an imported car and the company responsible for bringing it said "sorry we lost it".

@@Milfappreciater That makes sense now that you mention it, the airline company has no way of verifying the contents of each luggage in order to argue in court against someone claiming that the airlane lost luggage with XYZ inside of it and no insurance company would insure things they don't know the value of since people could lie, people could claim they lost expensive things when they didn't, when you order things online the insurance is either automatic or you choose to pay it but this insurance exists because everyone knows exactly what is being sent (I paid for a 2 or 3 dollar insurance when buying PC parts for example), yeah they should have insured it since it was so expensive or figured something out.

People may start using other airlines besides that one when they decide to fly as a result if that ban and people finding out about the Trash Taste guys and the equipment that both airlines and the airport lost. I'd avoid the airlines and that particular airport by any means necessary.

From what I read, Lufthansa didn't *specifically* prohibit Airtags in their checked luggage. It's because those things fall under international bans on "turned on devices with lithium metal batteries in checked luggage".

I guess since its in garnt’s name rather then a corporate identity they can’t get geexplus to handle it.
Companies should be held accountable for losing peoples things. 50k is no laughing matter and that's equipment lost as well as another 50k to replace the lost equipment. The airlines as well as the airport where the equipment was lost should be held accountable for lost luggage and should be made liable if peoples things are lost, stolen or damaged.
Actually at their 2nd NYC live show, they had actually just been contacted that they received an email that their remaining missing bag had arrived in Japan. But at the time during the show, they have yet to collect it to see if their equipment was still inside.

I read the news article of when this all happened, apparently something like 25% of luggage was being "lost" due to over bookings, lack of staff, COVID tests. Someone must have gotten very rich from these "lost" items is all I can think.
As of 10/21 NEW UPDATE!!! THEY GOT THEIR BAG BACK!!! LETS GOOOO!!!!!
Had a family member who used to work in the airport and they said that some employees will 100% “lose” the baggages. You can’t trust no one.
With stuff like that they almost need a tracking system put in place, if that is an option they can avail of. Some sort of GPS chip put into each piece of equipment, so if its taken they have a general idea of where it was going.

@@Spiritwonder420 No, but a whole buttload of people losing luggage might. It wasn't just 1 flight that lost luggages, m'dude.
Airports 100% have theft rings operating at the baggage areas. One of the reasons I use the same luggage pilots use, it's usually off the plane first, AND the handlers know not to mess with them.
General consensus I’ve seen from former airline employees is that someone probably swiped it. Happens more often than you’d think. They probably knew how much they could get for it and “lost it”
One thing is that the Airline „lost“ the equipment. That is bad but it can happen. Another thing is the communication. If something happens you need someone take care of it and help you. Imagine someone whose existence depends on his equipment. And air lingus or what their name was just failed miserably.
Airlines would go to war to make u pay that extra 50$ when ur bag is 1gram over limit
ive put airtags in all my luggage's when i travel and they are so clutch
And this is why you never put anything of value in your checked luggage. Stuff gets stolen all the time!
These airline personnel do not care for your items. If it is truly important it should be carried on, musicians have known this for forever and even buy seats for their instruments, never leave it in the hands of other people. Lost luggage liability limit is less than $2000. To properly insure something of this value is less than another ticket, especially if it’s a business.
Tbh the bag probably got sold because there's a place in the US where all the lost luggage go and you can buy stuff there.
I would seriously sue the airline for loosing $50k worth of equipment Im not gonna let them get away with this disgusting shit
That's why you never load expensive shit, you buy another ticket just for it.
Damn. This reminds me of when Impact Props lost their master chief suit. Glad I don’t need to lug expensive luggage around lol
imagine being chill and not doing anything about 50K
Its a expensive lesson but in the future they will probably travel with multiple luggage to reduce the risk of losing everything. They can afford it but a lot of their gear are really had to source since covid.
When you have $50K of luggage and it cant be covered completely by insurance, you send it via DHL or Fedex or a shipper who is paid to do that.
Airlines shouldn't get away from this, it's their responsibility to take care of their customers' belonging and should held accountable when they're lost during travel.
I can't believe Aer Lingus lost thousand's of their customer's items and that Aer Lingus is refusing to cooperate with Trash Taste to recover anything and that Aer Lingus is ignoring their efforts to communicate i can't imagine Aer Lingus is going to stay in business if Aer Lingus is so adamant on providing shit service to Aer Lingus' customers.

Always put a tracker on your bags so the airlines can't say they "lost" it or you can straight up catch their lies
How bizarre. This is what they do on sailing ships back a few hundred years ago, steal shit, but in modern times scaled up to a business?
I smell a class action lawsuit in the near future
@v1perz534
Жыл бұрын
Class action by definition requires a large group of affected individuals being represented by one person suing based on impact. For this to be class action would assume that the boys either 1) gathered all people who lost luggage in a similar vein to sue on their behalf (tons of effort for almost no return since awarded damages are distributed to all of the group) or 2) decided to gather viewers as a group "damaged" by the loss of their equipment and sue on their behalf (absolutely insane 0% winning strategy). So either way it would be an insane way to utilize specifically a class action lawsuit Horrible situation horrible company, but absolutely useless situation to use a class action lawsuit in

They likely had insurance however insurance companies like to avoid paying if they can. Often having something as simple as a sticker of your business or the equipments brand on a road case can make it harder to make an insurance claim. Imagine having enough money to buy 50k worth of equipment but did not do research into how to secure it. There are far more safer ways of getting precious cargo moved than checking it in with the rest of the commercial flight luggage. It sucks that this happened, but there are clear terms on the ticket and airport that there is an upper limit on the claim amount due to misplaced or damaged luggage
