12:34 I can't speak for Josiah obviously but if you have a ruthless enough father the fear that gets installed into your being can drive to to walk in the complete opposite direction. I also lost my father at 8 years old but he gave me the perfect example of the man I never wanted to be. He did more for me as an example that I could have asked for. I'm grateful that I was his son even though he was never my father. Shalom Eben

In josiah's story you have the prophetic that confirms the written word. Thats the line the prophetic must meet. It confirms the word. Prophetess Hulda prophesied to King Josiah and it confirmed what was written in the word.

Excellent thread, very poignant, energetic and edifying message. Thank you. Out of the mouths of babes god has perfected praise. I think Josiah was a seed of Abraham a type young David who stood up to Goliath and the Philistines. Fortunately Josiah was young enough not to be totally corrupted considering his background . I witnessed a young amazing born again teenager spring out of corrupted fatherless familie. And yes a wonderful abused Christian Mother who played a big part in his understanding’s.

If we are going to speculate as to why Josiah was turned from the wicked practices of his forefathers, why assume that it was his mother? His mother married the guy who was in wickedness and gave birth to Josiah. If anything, the Bible references callings that are brought about by God instantaneously through figures like Samuel and Saul (Paul) of Tarsus. This would be the most likely scenario.

He was prohpecied by the man of God, about 300 years before he was born, to come and burn the bones of the prophets , by the man whoes bones he didn't burn, yes the Holy Spirit was in him in goodly measure because of his righteousness, I wish I knew of Josiah when I had children as I would have named my first son after him. But hopefully one of my grandchildren will carry this most blessed name.

No matter how hard you preach it, the only thing that will bring revival to this jaded, wicked populace, even in our churches. There’s no difference between us and the pagans at Mardi Gras. This is a very good point, except when Jesus revealed Himself directly to Saul of Tarsus, later called Paul. It was gloriously recorded in scripture. Even in the Old Testament when God reveals Himself to Moses in the "burning bush" it is also recorded in glorious detail. Because God always gets the direct glory and subsequent praise when He shows up personally in individuals lives as recorded in scripture.

I think we should assume that GOD formed him in his mother's womb and gave him all the wisdom needed to follow GOD and become king at age 8.
