In josiah's story you have the prophetic that confirms the written word. Thats the line the prophetic must meet. It confirms the word. Prophetess Hulda prophesied to King Josiah and it confirmed what was written in the word.

Amen! Great teaching on this subject. I have actually encountered this since I was a child from different authority figures. The negative words of these people use to devastate me and keep me from achieving anything. They would repeat it over and over and get inside of my head and I would believe them. So, now I know who I am in Jesus Christ and God is blessing me to now accomplish some things. These same people who spoke word curses over me and crushed my spirit are angry at me. I think they realize that their word curses did not work and that I woke up and know the truth about who I really am.

Why do you think Josiah needed someone to teach him better? If he did Then why would he even be the king?

12:34 I can't speak for Josiah obviously but if you have a ruthless enough father the fear that gets installed into your being can drive to to walk in the complete opposite direction. I also lost my father at 8 years old but he gave me the perfect example of the man I never wanted to be. He did more for me as an example that I could have asked for. I'm grateful that I was his son even though he was never my father. Shalom Eben

Good word. Isayah 61 is my ministry verse and I remember where I was the first time I read that as a surrendered believer. I completely connect with that feeling near the end of every church service where "ok, come on alter call!" Runs through my body and feel deflated when none is given (likely after spending half the service triggering off something the pastor said that could be the connection point for preaching the gospel to present the opportunity to surrender while ignoring the bulk of the message)😁 Yeah, so anyway thanks for challenging my comfortability with looking at only the people groups I am familiar with. 100% on point that we are to go to the highways and byways not the church parking lot. But I will add as a new missionary in northern GA, that so far it looks like there is a great harvest field in the christian churches on Sunday mornings... But I am still learning about this new culture so I may change that impression as I get more involved. Looking forward to the next lesson here. My eyes and heart are being opened. See you at the NGR tomorrow! Blessings to all!

Excellent thread, very poignant, energetic and edifying message. Thank you. Out of the mouths of babes god has perfected praise. I think Josiah was a seed of Abraham a type young David who stood up to Goliath and the Philistines. Fortunately Josiah was young enough not to be totally corrupted considering his background . I witnessed a young amazing born again teenager spring out of corrupted fatherless familie. And yes a wonderful abused Christian Mother who played a big part in his understanding’s.

I wonder if pride in one's work and frustration with the collective leisure loving conversational work ethic applies here. Because its frustrating, I just wish it could change, and I Don't want to lose the reward (spiritually, monetarily, peacefully otherwise.) He brought me some huge miracles. I just keep hanging on while I face challenges as authorities eat from the community gossip pie for decision making ( completely ignoring the facts). I utterly feel alone and yet I love the work itself. I Can have the reward despite this predicament right? I get angry sometimes because the burden is so great. But that's okay right?

I am unsure of all of the specifics of what you are wrestling through, so I could not give a confident answer to what you ask. if nothing else, I hear what sound like you wrestling through the process. My firm belief is that, as long as we never quit the struggle, He eventually brings us through to fuller understanding and breakthrough. Just don't quit the wrestling match.

Every time I see somebody "filled with the holy Spirit" speaking in tongues today they're speaking gibberish not another language. Speaking in tongues refers to speaking in tongues that aren't your own as in other languages. Not la la mamashama la shalalalala which means nothing.

here is something to consider: linguists tell us that there are currently over 6900 active languages and dialects on earth. most of us would be hard pressed to recognize twenty of them by sound. God knows all of them fluently. could it be that one man’s gibberish is simply an active language that is simply not recognized by the person labeling it gibberish?
