Who also saw himself as a vigilante and being as the blues brothers would say " on a mission from God" - when the brothers are in the prison cell with the water falling on them (like baptism) and have that shared dream, they believed it was God speaking to them telling them this is what they are supposed to do. so once again we have brothers (not into blues) being basically " we're on a mission from God" ...but with guns

*The* Bob Marley died 20 years before this. Until this movie Sean Patrick Flannery was most known for playing teenage Indiana Jones on a kids tv program in the early 1990s. Willem Dafoe is a name you will see more of in the future...guaranteed one more time but probably more. The elvisy/tacky looking guy that meets papa joe is ron jeremy...of *mature* movie fame. ahem. LOL even Beans was shocked by the truth of the butt bandage event! She meow'd in horror! St Patrick is a big figure in ireland where he served as bishop and missionary in the early Church. He was originally from Britain though. Although he was not canonized as a Saint he is regarded as such by Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox (where he is considered as integral as the Apostles.) Long story short, yes he is big time among Irish. Fun fact: Chicago, one of the major Irish centers in the US, dyes the Chicago River green every St Patricks Day. Quite the sight to see.

There’s a video out there from a con where Sean Patrick Flanery tells a story about the cat scene. I think only he & Norman knew about how big of an “explosion” it was going to be, but even then it was worse than they thought. So David didn’t know and the look of horror & fear is completely real for them all! I’m here in Atlanta at a con and Sean & David are here, but Norman got hurt filming The Walking Dead and isn’t coming. I’ve met them all before and have gotten pics with them. I actually met David at a bar after the con & he was a hoot! Sean actually sat there at the con & talked to me for 15 minutes because I caught him right before he was leaving for the evening, very nice guy. Norman is a sweetheart, he always loves the fans even when he’s exhausted.

I am so thrilled you watched this movie. This was one of my favorite movies in college and I saew it a bunch of times. This review made me dig it out again and remember how awesome it was. This is such a Boston movie, so that gives it an extra place in my heart. That bridge they're on during the opening titles is the Longfellow Bridge between Cambridge and Boston and every time I walk on that bridge I think of that scene, especially around that exact area they're standing. Also about the Copley Plaza Hotel where the Russian guys were shot: about 10 years ago I got to do a cosplay photo shoot in the lobby of that hotel during Anime Boston. It's a really pretty hotel (thankfully the staff didn't care about a random cosplay shoot). As someone said before, Bob Marley who played Greenly is a stand-up comedian who's pretty well known in New England. I got to see him perform at a big corporate function several years ago, he's super funny.

There is quite the story surrounding the writer/director Troy Duffy. He is a true one hit wonder in the film industry. I think he was a bouncer and hung out with stars. He pitched this idea to a few and finally got some funds to produce it. He hasn't done much since (thanks to his ego, so I hear) other than the bad sequel. And there is some really good detail in this movie. Note that when Rocco rushes home and packs his shiite he grabs the iron and that iron was used later to cauterize their wounds.

I’ve actually met the other actor Sean Patrick Flanery at a couple of conventions and he wrote a really good book that I have autographed. There’s a very funny deleted scene I’ll attach the clip where you can see Norman‘s butt lol There’s lots of clips of Sean on KZread where people had this thing about having him call a friend of theirs while he was at the convention and yell at them in his Irish accent …I actually did that when I met him a couple of times and I’ve got the videos somewhere but it’s hilarious… I’ll attach one of those clips as well not the one of my friend but probably one of the best ones I’ve seen on KZread kzread.info/dash/bejne/oHWEs5uTeaupfKw.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/ap6dr8qQiMrMmso.html

While I disagree that the sequel is just as good, I do believe it's well worth watching. If only for the Clifton Collins Jr scenes especially the response to the, do these make me look gay, scene. Julie Benz I thought was cringy in her scenes and it seemed more like they were trying to make a music video than a movie. Worth watching but the time it takes to edit a reaction video, I think her time would be better spent on something else. By the way, Billy Connelly is Scottish.
