There has to be a first occurrence of the chair throw. It probably happened spontaneously and got such a great reaction that the suits started telling him to do it every show and it just became his thing. They're inaccurate as fuck. The fundamental idea is flawed, all they show is whether or not the question or answer bothered the person. A lot of people would be bothered by a great many questions, or their mind may have wandered elsewhere. It's a ridiculous instrument of a bygone age, and it shouldn't be admissable in any court, whether it's a real one or one of public opinion.
