New vanos gears require no clearance. There is a coating on them that wears off to leave the correct coating. This make assembly easy for the factory. You will now have twice the necessary clearance.

You should do a secondary air injection pump delete and get all that out of the way.. Just did it on my 760Li

You can use cable ties to keep the gasket in place while installing the pan

Just changed my aluminum oil pans gasket on my ‘06 Ford Freestyle. The torque pattern was start at one bolt and just go around from there instead of the usual criss cross pattern. Thought that was quite an odd torque sequence.

Don't forget the tail light gaskets. Trust me...and clear out the drains.

Question, I'm pulling my hair out with my 04 325i e46. Replaced All speedsensors with Bosch. Using my Foxwell NT510 Front wheels are Not showing any movement 0 but rears are functioning good. Also no speedo and Tri-fecta lights limp mode. Even looked at the 2 abs Pressure sensors and both functioning and steering angle sensors reads normal on live. I have DSC, Red Brake, ABS lights on. And ideas??? Thx

You should have codes ... scan the instrument cluster and the DSC unit. Btw, the speedo reads off the left rear wheel speed sensor (one of the rears, pretty sure its the left), so the issue is likely in a control module or perhaps wiring.

Hi Nathan, you do not prime oil to the engine in any way before straight up starting it? I'm into this job now and I was thinking to crank the engine a bit without spark plugs in
